I came across this on You Tube. It's a bit corny ( it was made in the early 50s ) but it shows some shots of the US Airmen and the Ft. Pepperell base where my dad worked as well as some typical scenes of the island as it was when I was a kid. Hope you find some of it interesting

Also the music for teh film was composed by THE John Williams , wo was then stationed at FT. Pepperell smile

Yup, it's definitely a bona fide 1950's era documentary. biggrin

Nice Archie. PM is correct, so '50s.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Crawley, the photographer, had a movie studio in Ottawa.

Interesting video KK. I bet the traffic congestion in Ottawa now is just a tad bit more than what is shown in the video. wink

Depends on what time of day, with/without covid lockdowns. smile

Wiki link to Crawley, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F._R._Crawley Crawley is best known for producing the Academy Award-winning documentary The Man Who Skied Down Everest.
