She is an old girl that I never knew existed until Tigre88 over on the IL2 Forums gifted this fine tank sim to me. Now the version Tigre88 gifted me is in French, and well, my Polly vu France' ain't so good, if you know what I mean. I figured out the jist of it by button mashing and completed one mission, but then with a little searching on the net I found the English version for free. I have had two successful missions, but in my last one I burned up my Tiger's engine somehow. This sim is surprisingly very good and a lot of fun to play for being as old as it is. I just wish there were more Campaigns and missions still floating about for it. If anyone still has any of the Mods or 3rd party Campaigns or missions for TvsT, I sure would appreciated some good links to download them or possibly someone could just share any addon material they still have through a DB link or something??? Anyway, here are a few pics I took tonight and I think she still looks good. yep

PM on the way, young sir!

There was Zeewolf's payware (subscription) mod, which used to be here: http://www.tanksimzw.com/

Some pics here: https://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3954693/t34-vs-tiger-project-zeewolfs-mod

There were some free missions there as well. Not sure if this project is dead or if any of it is still available anywhere. Wasn't a subscriber.

Better interface for command of your won tank than SF but otherwise nothing like as good IMHO.

I do remember subscribing to Zeewolf's mod. This is where I found him, not sure if he is still active though https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=203

I gave my copy of the game to a fellow SimHQ'er years ago.

Ok, Thanks for the heads up to both of you. It seems Zeewolf's complete mod is nowhere to be found anymore which is a shame. It is what it is. I am having a bit of fun, but I will probably head back to SF 1942 pretty soon as it is way ahead of TvsT in atmosphere and immersion, but this old girl is still fun as long as you keep in mind when it was made. biggrin

Like a lot of sims it seems. Don't get me going! LOL Honestly, TvsT isn't even in the same league as SF 1942, but it has its' shinning moments. Both the Tiger and the T34 are iconic and TvsT has enough charm to keep me interested for a few weeks I feel quite certain. The missions are not push overs, but the AI is simply put, 'Moronic' most of the time. In Project ZeeWolf's first mission about 10 Tigers were having an orgy of ballet, twisting and circling around and into each other while I went and took the town by myself to complete the mission. Up to that point the AI Tigers were operating quite well, and then I was like, what the hell? I assume they had made it to there last mission scripted way point and then just did not know what to do with themselves. I still had fun and that is all that matters, but I can see why this sim was possibly not well received and short lived on many computers. A few more pics from some recent missions.

Based on my experience with keeping Panzer Elite development going after Wings went under, I was asked to be part of the Alpha Test Team for TvT. We provided detailed feedback on all the key areas they needed to take care of before release. Alas, as is so often the case, they thanked us very much, and then promptly ran out of funding to do any more work on it. The decision was taken to publish as is, and hopefully the initial sales would generate enough funds to finish it. The end result was predictable. The poor performance killed sales, and it died on the vine.

Thanks for the background MajorMagee. That is very cool that you were involved with the Alpha Team and also a real shame that TvsT went south do to lack of money. The potential is there for sure, she just needed some more attention. Here are a few more pics as I work my way through the German Campaign. cool
