So, I have VR and, for sim racing, I use it exclusively and love it. On the flight sim side though, for a variety of reasons, I still have a slight preference for the trusty old Track IR. My question is around zooming your view - do you prefer to just lean closer to the screen, or do you rather map a joystick button to zoom your view?
Ive had a Track IR for a long time and had never thought about this until I had some experience with VR. In VR, "lean in for a closer look" feels super natural. In Track IR...mixed results. I tend to lean a little closer...a little closer...a little - whoops, too close! Then end up sitting back and having to re-center my view half the time. Makes me wonder if I have been going about it the wrong way all along.
