The UAW160 set-up is based on a working folder to which things can be downloaded and added.
I have made a download of a working folder with just the bare essentials.

The bare minimum UAW160

If you have never installed UAW160 you can try this as a test version.
It gives you the 160 equivalent of the 1.2 installation by creating a "UAW160Barebones" folder with the following contents:

[Linked Image]

You may need to add your own "eaw.ini" file if you have one from another EAW installation.
It is simply a test folder that allows you to check out UAW160 on your PC. It is not meant to be a base to which you can add other material.

What can be downloaded and added?

This is my current UAW160 folder:

You can see a heap of additional files and folders, but the key thing is that when I run the "PlaneSetExeTheatreSwitchV4.exe" I see this:

It allows me to select a theatre, a planeset and the eaw.exe that I prefer to use.
The additional things have been added to the original installation by downloading various 7-zip self installer and running them in the root folder.
The user needs to do nothing else, other than run the Visual Basic runtime files installers in cases when the file manager programs such as the "PlaneSetExeTheatreSwitchV4.exe" will not launch.

What has been added are theatre folders, new versions of the eaw.exe, planes folders that contain folders with aircraft skins, and other folders that contain folders with aircraft flight model data.
There is also the "LongDirSets" folder and the "Planesets" folder which the "PlaneSetExeTheatreSwitchV4.exe" reads so that you can select a theatre or a plane-set.

As I fly online at GameRanger my folder has additional software which allows me to select multiplayer material.

*******************************************************************************************************

For a basic installation to which things can be added check out the very first post in this thread (17th March 2021):

That whole thread also contains posts and solutions re- Visual Basic Runtime file problems

So -

RIBAW
IRBAW
RBIAW
BRIAW
BIRAW

or to fit with the usual 3 letter designation, BAW?

This is very important to avoid confusion (mostly mine). :-)

Well, the centre of the theatre is the Balkans ...

So BAW, perhaps, for convenience.

Ok, BAW it is!

BTW, any of those coastal dots going to be seaplane bases? 'cuz I haven't made any Eastern Aircraft seaplanes yet, although there are a few Italian models in the DAW inventory that will fit.

They could and should be.

Plenty of scope for sea/floatplanes in this theatre, including the Black Sea.
