Apart from Sandbagger's Tally-ho!, there were once many EAW websites, sources of additional 1.2x planes and skins and other addons. Many have now disappeared.

But some remain, probably more by oversight than design.

These are the ones I could find:

Jan Tuma`s (old) EAW Page: http://eaw.wz.cz/index2.html Many models and skins and add-ons relating to the Eastern Front

Jan Tuma`s EAW Cold-War Pages http://tumajan.sweb.cz/ One of Jan's uncompleted projects

Alain James' Check Six: http://alainjames.free.fr/Skins.htm Nice skin collection by Alain and others

Alessandro Borges' Aces Over Gyn http://www.geocities.ws/alessandroborges/index.htm Skins, terrains, scenarios, and utilities

Jason and Steve's Flight Sim Site: http://www.trats1.freeuk.com/ Skins, sounds and skies

Pisis' EAW Page: http://pisis.eaw.page.sweb.cz/menu.htm Skins and screens with an emphasis on Czech pilots

Fabio Mele EAW SKINS: http://www.eaw.it/ Skins and screens with an emphasis on Italian planes

Capitán Manduca's EAW Workshop: http://capitan.manduca.free.fr/ Unfortunately the skins downloads are not working, but there are other things.

Just a reminder that the files on these sites are 1.2x, so useful in original Microprose 1.2, GOG 1.28, Code Group 1.28C. The planes and skins can be used in 1.2E and 1.29. Those working 1.6 may find things that can be converted to use in that setup.

If anyone knows of any others, please post.

Thanks Mark. At least one site there I'd never seen before.

Sad that a couple listed have already gone to meet their maker.

Wow. Looking at those old websites really has brought back many wonderful memories. And I still have Mark's Shoot To Kill.

Think I might have to re-install EAW and take to the skies again. Still have an old Win XP computer sitting around somewhere. Now that I'm retired I've got the time to indulge. smile

Still have my original EAW boxed set, that I bought way back 2 Feb, 1999; for $89.95.

Will do the install from that, and patch to 1.2. I like the old original game.

If your doing v1.2 you should get the EAWv1.2-GoG re-release as it has better video support / directdraw is improved and other things. Includes smoother flight screen / high FPS.

The one down side is I think they remove all multiplayer except LAN play. (which can be used online anyway).

My site is still open and so are the downloads.
However in spite of the recent GOG spike in interest and 2 or 3 new people I think all there is is the same people returning, as noted in post on my website, below:

2021-5-15 70,977 total views

Well site page views are 1789 since last post. Apparently the huge spike noted previous was temporal. Still overall the views have doubled on the average from previous years. However, I estimate from my downloads and stats from my EAW websites over the last 15+ years there are only about 50 or so real part-time enthusiasts of this game, about 20 of those forming the core. Most likely former contributors and testers. Additionally a total of @ 100 - 150 people worldwide occasionally return to download and play it over the years. Probably for the nostalgia of it. As for new people they are few and far between. It is my opinion that most people who have any interest in EAW are middle-age or older long-termers from the PC Flight Sim era of the late 80's - late 90's who had an interest in WWII from childhood and probably had a relative that was in the war.

This accords with my feelings. I'm happy with that.
