In case you were interested in how these were made back in 1965. It almost seems like an Earth from an alternate universe doesn't it?

Some plastic figures are still made from 3-ups. E.g The Perry historical miniatures.

Still have my 1952 Royal coach, the first production line from Lesney mentioned in the footage. Many were given to disabled war veterans like my father.

I was a fan and collector of Dinky toys. I remember the excitement of my 10th Christmas receiving the top-of -the-range "Tank Transporter and Centurion Tank', costing as much as £1 17/6d .
Many a large school playground battle was fought between the rival factions of Dinky and Corgi collectors I recall in the late 1950's.

Wish I had had the foresight to keep them pristine with their boxes!

I still have my Corgi diecast Panzer IVJ which I have sitting on my computer desk at home.

Will have to dig out my bread bag filled with old Dinky vehicles.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.
