Cool, thanks Rec.
It was actually Ito Orbital, not Station. It's the one with the huge shard of the station that moves in front of whichever pad I was assigned haha.

When flying from the Lave Station Rescue Ship to LAVE Station, the slot was on the other side of the drop in point. I spent a lot of frustrating time flying around trying to find the hole Then I started just Supercruising past the station and turning around where I could see the slot easily and line up for the drop. The Loop of Shame became the Slingshot of Goodness.

Speed is life as I am fond of saying. That sucks Rec, what a pain. I would have done the same supercruise thing. And it's a lousy Coriolis too, to make it as troublesome as possible The drop at Ito is right above the slot, and on the right end to boot! Just mocked up my rumble bus Krait with econocabins and it seats 104. A Krait shouldn't carry more than a dedicated large pad transport! But it do. Anyway, the Orca is right from a roleplaying point of view, and it's the coolest-runner in my fleet. Feels right, even if the numbers don't pile up as quickly and heatsinks mean how cool the ship runs isn't really a big deal.

Corrosive is an experimental, so you also have to apply a "normal" engineering. I like OVERCHARGED, but EFFICIENT and HIGH CAPACITY are also good ones.
So I went to Todd the Blaster and attempted to change one of my MC's to Corrosive, I see no option to change it to "normal" and can't get any experimental? Does he not have the capacity to do it? What am I missing here? Do I have to run to Shinrarta and buy a new MC that is not engineered and go from there, help please.....LOL

You have to have one mod applied to the weapon. G1 is fine
You must 'select' that mod to open up the experimental
It may be defaulting to a mod you have not applied and therefore it appears the experimental is not available.
So if this is a High Cap (or whichever it is), then you must click on that mod first, then your experimental should be available.

Any time Ram, glad you got it sorted. I hope you have even more daka-daka now Logged on last night and got straight to bounty hunting. Target was 38 kills for the badge. Lost track after about five, but kept going until I guessed I must be there. Flew back to Barnwell and turned them in. It had been 40 and got the fancy new badge. Then I went and bought a new ship! A Chieftain, which by the way is the ship Blastman should be flying I think. My idea is to arm it with some weapons that I never use, but theory-crafting it is not easy, so many choices. I have it mocked up but need to finalize before dropping the mats. An interesting project anyway.

Yes, Commander FFRAM, please let us know how the Engineered MC's are working for you. What did you put on as the Main Engineering? Overcharged? Combo of Overcharged and the Experimentals you mentioned are great combos, even if you suffer a small hit on Ammo capacity.
It's been a long time since I bought a new ship (not counting the Type 10 in drydock). The Chieftain Pirates were pretty potent adversaries, so was wondering about that ship. Of course the Chieftains all seemed to have the Shield Breaching munitions so maybe it wasn't the ship so much as the armament. Still, I always had a soft spot for the Alliance, so I'm glad their ship is getting some love. One of the reasons I went with a Taipan for my fighter (though now the Guardian Lance gets most of the action).

Yeah, that first drop I did alone in to the pirate threat a couple weeks ago made an impression. That Chieftain was no joke! And as I was saying to Bo the other night I want to build a ship unlike my others. Changing up my weapons. A combat pace-changer. We'll see where it leads. You should get one Rec so we can each benefit from the other's choices, theories and mistakes as they come together.
I even considered a Challenger, but bought the Chief in the end.

Haha, not many seem to know of the Crusader. Only the Cobra IV and the Asp Scout are less popular.

I did a quick search and found comparisons of the Alliance ships: Chieftain, Challenger and Crusader. CRUSADER?????? I didn't even know that existed. For sure, I never saw any NPC flying one!!!
I fought an AI crusader once that took over 10 minutes to kill because he wouldn't take damage. He regenned his shields 5 - 10 times from being fully down, too.

I think the Chief is tailor-made for you Blastman. This is your ship for clubbing the seal-clubbers. Your rail-boat, hull tank.
In my occasionally humble opinion.
Challenger works too, maybe even better?

Combo of Overcharged and the Experimentals you mentioned are great combos, even if you suffer a small hit on Ammo capacity. I left everything with High Capacity magazines. Experimentals: 4A - Oversized 2 x 3C - Auto Loader 3C - Corrosive 2 x 2F - Auto Loaders 2 x 1G - Auto Loaders NOT IMPRESSED. I went back to Sirius and jumped into the Pirate Threat 5. Diced up an FDL. Went after a Conda and it stood toe to toe with me, when I killed him, my shields were almost down. I'm pretty sure I need to go back and remove the HC mags and I'm open for suggestions, please! LOL

I'm pretty sure I need to go back and remove the HC mags and I'm open for suggestions, please! LOL It'll take more MATs, but I like OVERCHARGED vs. Hi Cap. Even EFFICIENT gives you a good Damage Bonus. Also, it is a personal preference, but I never liked all MC builds. I found that Beams or other Laser weapons are better at stripping shields and Kinetic weapons do better against HULL. I guess it depends on the enemy's resistances. But CORROSIVE is pretty useless ( I think) when their Shields are up, so you don't gain much benefit. Overcharged or other Damage increasing mods will give you an advantage against Shield and Hull just by virtue of greater hit points. That said, Wingy's Skittles do a #%&*$# fine job of taking out Shields, so I guess there is something to be said for Kinetic damage.
