Hello. Polovski, I understand that you own your business and are free to be sarcastic. but you won't argue that a year and a half of PE development is a short time.
It's like you're telling him off for having the cheek to dare to update his own product.
Yes how dare you massively improve WOFF Pol, stop it now!!
"A great deal of an aeroplane could be holed without affecting its ability to fly. Wings and fuselage could be—and often were—pierced in 50 places, missing the occupants by inches (blissfully unaware of how close it had come until they returned to base). Then the sailmaker would carefully cover each hole with a square inch of Irish linen frayed at the edges and with a brushful of dope make our aircraft 'serviceable' again within an hour."
Asam71, I along with many others have purchased everything WW1 related that’s ever been produced by OBD and also WOTR.
Has it been a small fortune? Yep it has..do I regret a single purchase? No absolutely not for the hrs\money ratio for me at least it’s been a bargain. I’m not here to tell you what to buy how to spend etc, and your well within your right to ask your questions regarding PE but ultimately it’s your call pal. You’ll still get many happy hours flying WOFF PE, you wanna stick with that a bit that’s absolutely fine. But personally speaking from what I’ve seen so far from BAaH II ,it won’t take you long to cave in
Happy flying regards Adger.

@Asam71 We all don't decide the kind of release. We can say our meaning here, what we would like to have, what not, what is better, what is worse. … . But we don't decide it. I know, I have written, that it is sad, when UE/PE are past suddenly, and indeed, it's my opinion (so much good work of OBD and the mod-experts!). But, as @Gaw1 has written, every model / product is past one day (sniff).
Perspective: And I'm sure, that OBD will work with WOTR for a longer time after release of this big BH&HII with so much work (nobody speaks about the second sim WOTR since months!). So I can imagine that BH&HII could be the WOFF-Base for a longer time (maybe as UE and PE summed up). With such a perspective a full new WOFF-sim would make sense absolutely.
So think about it, make your tentatively decision and wait for the release. I will purchse it, even if it is new or an update.
This may be the first time in OFF/WOFF history that someone said updates were coming too quickly.
Donut anyone?
.
Indeed. Some of us are just old enough to remember all the frustration we heard from some quarters that updates for WOFF were taking too long during the time the devs were focused on creating WOTR. Given how few WWI flight sims there are in development, it's almost mind-boggling to think anyone is frustrated by the idea that updates are happening too often. Of the two, I'm going to vote for the latter "problem" over the former any day of the week.
Absolutely. That's exactly why I came to purchase WOFF in the first place. From years of playing RB3D and then ROF but development of ROF was dead.
The whole point is that WOFF isn't dead, it's very much alive and about to have a brand new update.
Which is fantastic news ....for most of us anyway .
I'm not sure donuts will be enough Lou with all this crazy talk.

"@Trooper117: I can't help it, but seeing everything that is coming our way I have stopped playing PE in anticipation for the new release... I somehow can't make myself play the older version anymore. What's wrong with me? "
That's normal if you try to survive the time till the new version only with soft things (like donuts ). Take beer and crisps : : :. And then play X-Wing vs. Tie-Fighter, read Perry Rhodan or Lassiter, enjoy discounter-shopping-highlight once a week, love your HomeOffice, and let your child use your HighEnd-machine for HomeSchool ... .
I think it's inaccurate to interpret what Asam71 was saying to mean 'updates were coming too soon'. This muddies the water, so to speak - IMHO.
I think what he's saying is it's a fairly short period of time for an update which for all intent appears likely to be a 'full-cost', stand alone installation, with no reduced-cost option for those who purchased PE (relatively) recently.
I doubt he'd be concerned if it were available at lesser cost for those who already (in the past year or so) bought PE. But, TBH, it doesn't look much like that's going to happen (yes, I know it's not official yet).
I chose not to purchase PE, opting instead for my own reasons to make a substantial cash donation to OBD worth several times the 'going rate'.
However, even though I didn't buy PE, I do agree that anyone who did should be given a discount on the new release (like several others in this thread).
I could be wrong in my interpretation as well - but I don't really think so, FWIW. (He did say "If it is a new installation, I hope that those of us who have WOFF PE are taken into account.", so that's where my perspective comes from)
Of course, everything in the foregoing statements are my own opinion, which I am quite accustomed to being attacked for here. It is what it is.
You are rightly entitled to your opinions so there shouldn't be any attacks, although expressions of opinions by others may vary.
Tnx for your attempt to clarify Asam71's statements. It would be nice if he confirms or clarifies further for those who might be interested.
Best Regards to all

Absolutely Hopefully Asam71 can/will clarify his position on the matter. As I said, IMHO his point was misunderstood.
The thing is, some here seem to be unaware that English (it appears) is a second language for him - and again, this isn't something that anyone should be attacked for. IMHO it's caused confusion more than once.
As for the attacks, I agree completely it shouldn't happen. But I think that there are plenty of examples of where it does, which is most unfortunate.
@ Hellshade.. Fantastic shots, it’s looking absolutely brilliant I cannot wait to see what magic the lads have conjured up again thanks for posting and of course teasing us you bounder .
EA release FIFA every 12 months and FIFA 21 sold over 1.5m copies in its 1st month alone, despite there being very little content upgrade from FIFA 20 ( I know my lad has it every year for Christmas.). We’ve had PE for nearly 18mths and UE for is it for over 4 years ? Wow.thats gone fast...and there’s still plenty of life in it if anyone chooses not to invest in BHAH II.
If there’s a discount for owners of PE that’d be great for some, but if there isn’t then so be it. I think there’s people who forget that this is still a primarily 2 man show who work long hours to provide IMO the pinnacle of WW1 sim aviation at probably very little profit to them considering the hrs worked. I’d be surprised how OBD could find out who owned PE and who didn’t? How much future development time would it take up for them to say..check all the emails for PE order numbers etc? I think it’s pretty simple no matter what language you speak or nationality you are..If you personally think BHAH II is worth it then you’ll purchase it, if you don’t you won’t and that goes with anything that you buy. Regards.

My comment concerning language was strictly because there have been a number of times what Asam71 wrote was completely taken wrong. That's all. No one said he misunderstood anything, in fact I'd say his understanding sums it up just about perfectly. He said he thinks those who purchased PE should be kept in mind and others in this thread have said the same thing.
No need to insult anyone by implying he didn't understand. The misunderstanding was entirely others taking what he said wrong.
It's the internet... things are so easily misunderstood. If we were in the pub talking face to face about it we would understand each other no problem... (unless of course one of you bounders were spiking my pink gin)

Who said I was replying to your comment? Where on my posts have I insulted Asam? In fact in a previous post I wished him happy flying and best regards, but you’ve probably missed that Again..you see what you want to see
