Mr. Matt Milne has outdone himself with the new soundtrack. It moves effortlessly between hauntingly beautiful and soaring patriotism, Honestly, looking at the new BHaH II screen and listening to Matt's work, it feels like you are at the world premier of an epic film because the production values are so high. It puts me in the mood to not just fly, but to live the adventure of the campaign. Hats off to you Matt. Stunning work sir!

You're killing me Hellshade! jk - looks AMAZING! Are you able to run it independently of PE or did you have to take off the old version before beta testing this one?

Also - are you noticing any additional strain on your system or does it run fairly close to PE in terms of system requirements?

The beta has been a separate install. I uninstalled PE completely and removed all mods for testing purposes. Personally, I think it runs either about the same or a bit smoother, despite all the updates.

That is awesome!! Was a little worried I'd need to upgrade my rig to move up to BH&HII. Thanks for all of the work you've done testing. It looks like a phenomenal release.

Cheers!

Hello.
So it is not necessary to have Woff PE to have BH & HII? I mean, is it a standalone game ???
And if so, does it mean that WOFF PE development is over?
Greetings.

The devs haven't given an official answer yet other than to say it's leaning towards a stand-alone install. Still deep in beta testing.

Hellshade, besides the dogfighting, can you tell if the recon, arty spotting or bombing missions have changed? for a career other than a fighter pilot.

bump

Hello.
If it is a new installation, I hope that those of us who have WOFF PE are taken into account.
Greetings.

Sorry orbyxP. I missed that. I honestly never flew recon before so I couldn't fairly say what has or has not changed. frown

On the one side I understand @Pol absolutely on relation to a complete new sim. On the other side, as @Redwulf has mentioned it above, an update for UE/PE-user would be a good second way.

At the end it is even for me, because I will purchase BH&HII.
But, to be honest, it would be sad IMHO, when UE/PE will be only past suddenly, from one day to the next day.

Greetings!

Who cares? It's not as if ALL of us haven't had our money's worth from all that came before. Nothing's forever green and it's absurd to expect the devs to garden older stuff forever, no matter how much we love it, as the speed of change accellerates. Sure we've paid for upgrades...and enjoyed them for a looooong time....but new model cars come out every year and upgrades to last years stand-out don't really happen....same here. Pony up....fly the new hotness...it'll be worth it 100 times over. If you pro-rate the $$ you've spent for the years of pleasure you've had.....it's been a good effing deal.

I picked up PE Oct 2019, so a almost a year and half ago, for 25 bucks. Before that it looks like Oct 2016 for Ultimate Edition, for 65.

I know everyone's financial circumstances are different and I certainly don't want to discount that. I can only say for me personally if someone asked me if I'd pay an average of 20 dollars a year to have this kind of great single player focused air combat simulator I'd have no problem saying yes! There are just so few people making these the price seems more than fair.

Don't begrudge anyone for having a differing opinion of course, just that when I average out the cost over the amount of time these guys have been producing it seems okay (to me).

Early October 2019 it was released - actually coming up for 18 months shortly. It was an expansion on UE which was released in October 2016.
You can always play PE for as long as you like and then at some point buy BH&H II (after it's available).

I can't help it, but seeing everything that is coming our way I have stopped playing PE in anticipation for the new release... I somehow can't make myself play the older version anymore. What's wrong with me? banghead

Hello.
Polovski, I understand that you own your business and are free to be sarcastic. but you won't argue that a year and a half of PE development is a short time. I know that any decision you make, whatever it is, will be applauded, you have a group of loyal fans and of course your sim is the best of all time.
In fact, I bought this sim motivated by the opinions of its loyal followers, but the truth is that I find it beautiful but very arcade. Of course I'll see the new sim and if I'm interested or not.
Greetings
