Guess you'll just have to buy some more ships then, that use C5 FSD. No other way Wingy.
I think an Orca, a Challenger and a T-7 should be good for your unmounted FSDs.
No, wait, you'd want the SuperDrives in the Orca.
Make it a Gunship then.
No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

Still have that FAS?? I already burned my MATS on 3, so I am using them, DAMMIT! ASP, DBX and PYTHON most likely. I mostly use the Python for Cargo (when there arent large pads) and Passenger Missions as well as Mining, so a better jump range would be good.,,but if it is only a few light years beyond the 32 I already have, then maybe not so much.

Last night when delivering some landmines to unlock an engineer, I had the humorous experience of some determined NPC Pirates trying to interdict me. Not good for them. The funnies happened when I started slicing their bellies open with my beam lasers. As I was shooting other pirates, I released my drones and scooped up the material guts of their slain comrades while the plasma and lead was still flying. Imagine, for a moment, being a soldier on a battlefield, shooting the enemy while your companions are eaten beside you. Yes, that was hilarious.

That's the way to do it Blastman I've bought four of the double engineered FSD. These have gone in the Orca, DBX, and two Kraits. I plan to buy two more, one for the Phantom and one for the other Krait. How many Kraits do I have dammit!? I might get one just for a ship I have yet to buy lol. Sale ends Friday Anyone notice a lot of those FSD unsafe operation messages? Was getting them a lot last night.

Anyone notice a lot of those FSD unsafe operation messages? Was getting them a lot last night. Yes, in Sirius, annoying as HECK!! Me too!! I read somewhere that those FSD's are not good in pure COMBAT ships as there is a significant penalty in INTEGRITY which could result in getting your FSD destroyed, Looking at CORIOLIS, the INTEGRITY was 84 vs. 90 for the normal INCREASED RANGE/MASS MANAGER drives. I guess you could put DOUBLE BRACED experimental on if you were really worried.

I'm not worried, just annoyed As I wrote in the thread about those things, I've not had a FSD destroyed (without the ship exploding), so I have no concerns there. And anyway, I was getting these messages flying the Cutter, and that's big old class 7! Now that Ram mentions it, maybe I only got these notifications in Sirius. I went there a lot haha. I'll pay more attention tonight.

I remember thinking... WHOA did SIRIUS suddenly get a Neutron Star or something?

I'll pay more attention tonight. The crazy thing is I don't get them every time, it's sort of random! And I'm in a normal engineered Conda. But when that CHICK start's squawking about it, she just won't shut the H$!! up, sounds like my ex wife!! HAHA

No worries Bo, andd that matches my gains. When I thought you had found 6 jump I had to know how. I saw your build in the Krait thread, thanks for posting it.
Logged on last night and hunted some bounties for the CG. Turned in 11m, and now 61% Deadly. Then I went back to Barnwell, switched to the Cutter, and flew two trade hops, dropping another 1280t to cement my place in the 50%
I had none of the FSD outside safe operating limits notifications or whatever is says.

I'm finding that multicannons have become trash since the game was released.
I run my Conda with 8 MC's, engineered, with high capacity magazines, and I don't have any problems killing the best ships in the game and Elite ships too. I've only had a hand full of ships ending up having their shields regenerate and by then they're toast!!

I'm finding that multicannons have become trash since the game was released. I fought an AI crusader last night that took ten minutes to kill once the shields dropped--and they dropped 5 or 10 times. Once down, the ship would hardly take any damage, both from multicannons and beam lasers. Was a total nightmare. It wasn't even an Elite ranked craft, either--I think it was an alliance crusader. Regardless, such a long lasting opponent with shields down in unacceptable. I must rethink my killing tools.
That doesn't seem right. Especially for medium ships like the crusader, multis and beams should melt it down just fine. You should also consider engineering at least one MC with the CORROSIVE SHELL experimental effect. This causes weakening of the enemy hull and makes it susceptible to greater damage from any weapon. Only need it on ONE since the damage is persistent and you don't gain much from having it on both. You can go Incendiary on another cannon for a double whammy, but I run CORROSIVE + AUTOLOADER so I can always have at least one cannon firing. I've always used a mix of Beams and MC's (with a PA or some other heavy hitter if I could mount it). Use the Beam and PA to strip shields, then the Multi's to weaken/damage the hull and use he BEAMS/PA as needed to finish the job.

I've only had a hand full of ships ending up having their shields regenerate and by then they're toast!! Then something was wrong with the game, because I literally wanted to throw it out the window as I'd never seen such nonsense. The ship was literally invincible. I could hold my two size 3 long range engineered(level 1) beams on it for 5 seconds and maybe at best I'd do 1% damage if was lucky. The multicannons essentially did nothing, and I have one size three and two size two. My ship isn't even close to fully engineered, but I do now have level 5 engineered FSD, powerplant and power distributor.

You should also consider engineering at least one MC with the CORROSIVE SHELL experimental effect. I also need to do that! Corrosive is an experimental, so you also have to apply a "normal" engineering. I like OVERCHARGED, but EFFICIENT and HIGH CAPACITY are also good ones.
