If you think `thats close enough´, go closer, until the plane fill up the windscreen, then a short burst is enough!

Hmmm.... my eureka moment didn't pan out.....oh well.

I went looking for the flyable V1 Ray mentioned, in the 160 version at the top of Jel's link for the downloads, which is UAW 160 Multiplayer ( which is why people get confused and think it's for online, I believe) and the folder doesn't exist. I also have downloaded UAW160Nov2020, and looking in there I did find the folder Ray mentioned. So, which is the most current?

I did fly the V1, it was interesting, but I have have an alternate setup I'll send you for consideration.

Back to the ones and zeros !!

For those interested, the smacker file which plays for a German victory in the Battle of Britain is GERMAN_B.SMK - it shows a German invasion.

With all the talk about BoB campaigns, what about Great Shot?
I don't think it has been converted to run on 1.6. I hope I am not the only one that remembers flying it.Especially one scenario in which the task was to intercept an attack by a group of 110s (.ErprGr210), maybe. It was a very difficult one with the 110s flying at tree top heights.

Funnily enough, have just been setting up Great Shot amongst a number of other 1.2 mods in OAW 128 to use in a 128GOG setup. Works well. But the GOG exe seems to struggle with mods which have a heavy additional graphic content such as many new ground objects and associated skins. Possibly memory allocation overloads we sorted in subsequent exe/dll versions?

The good thing for GOG players is that many of the old 1.2 theatres DAW, Spain, Malta, Finland, Midway, South Pacific etc,) seem to work very well.

What is it about these old scenarios that attracts players?

Are there features, terrain, target models, weapons or particular aircraft in them?

Of course, my reason for asking it that I suspect they could all be replicated within 1.6 with the addition of a ton of features not available in the earlier execs.

Possibly the retro simplicity. Along with the good game play EAW has always had

I think letting new GOG players know there are many theatres that will work with 128GOG will be good for them and perhaps provide a gateway for some to 1.6.

Yes, and once they've mainlined, they're ours.
