I can have a little extra smash if I'm just flying one system over. Otherwise I'll take a little bigger fuel tank and that cuts speed sharply in the Courier.

Spent some time today mat farming. I hit Jameson's Cobra for the first time, then hit Dav's for a few circuits, then landed two planets over to get some Cadmium and Selenium. A good haul overall.

I don't know what to make of the Interstellar Initiative. Seems most players don't either. I want in if it's fun. But I don't really know what it is.

Good luck mining Rec. Planet A9 in my home system Dvorsi was great for LTDs and VOs not too long ago. Not sure if it still is?

I guess I won't make it in time, from Fraufa SJ-X d2-4, >20klys from inhabited space, be it the Bubble or Colonia. Will now start to swing toward Colonia, in a rather wide arch, or so is the plan... So far >1200 systems visited since I left early April, EDSM guestimated a total scan value of ~1.6 billion
I was already tempted last weekend to mention this new "Initiative" and its initial focus on Guardian space, but I couldn't figure out myself whether it is worth waiting for...

I tooled around one of the other sites (3?) and despite raising a few Relic towers and collecting some OBELISK data, I couldn't FIND anything resembling what was in the videos. So now I am at Site 1...and similarly am lost. So I definitely need some help.

I grabbed a relic, but no cargo space in the DBX so I dropped it. Will pick another one up at whatever site actually yield stuff.

I should be on tonight,if I don't have to take my son to Baseball practice from 8-9:15. They are forecasting an ice storm, so I am hoping baseball gets cancelled. (and we don't lose power).


By the way, there are a ton of Fleet Carriers in that system (not surprisingly). So unlike other jaunts to that area, Refuel, repair and restock is possible. I banged up my hull a bit getting too close to star on the way, but I patched her up at a Carrier!

What are you looking for specifically? Those leaning pylons have a few panel-type things you can shoot off. This is how I was getting my Guardian Technology Components for example.

If you end up getting everything you want, don't hang around just for my benefit. But if you are staying, I'll fly out tonight. Just post whichever system you are in later today please.

OK, I think you are in the same place I posted in the Dust Off thread right? I found several of these (four at each?) so perhaps it might just be in a different part of the site, which covers a lot of ground. I'm sure you've been roaming around though. There were at least four of these in the part where I was. I hit them all, relogged and hit 'em again (and again)

Yes it is a massive site but I was trying to find the layout from the video from the air. I see lots of obelisks but have had trouble finding the structures with destructible panels. Will tool around some more..

Yes, Synuefe NL-N C23-4, planet B 3 is where I got these components and that is where you are. Not sure what's going on but if you find them let me know.

OK, one more thing then I am out of ideas. Above you said you were at the Guardian Ruins POI. But if I recall correctly, there are actually Guardian Structure POIs and Ancient Ruins POIs.

You need to be at the Guardian Structure POI. Check your left panel and see if that is where you are?

That is definitely it. I was at Guardian RUINS.. not GUARDIAN STRUCTURE..

I guess the RUINS are for farming Obelisk data....which, at least, I did.

Ok.. collected a bunch of destructible stuff and some more obelisk data. Couldn't find the pylons to power up, though for the main event. Baseball was cancelled, so I will be on around 7 pm or whenever is good for you.

I'm sorry Rec. I thought my son's basketball was cancelled because of the holiday, but it's still on. It's unlikely I can meet the time I set. So head on home when you're done. Not even sure I'll make it on tonight, but I plan to. The uncertainty though means I can not be counted on.

OK... got it all figured out thanks to Bohemond who came to help power up the pylons. We collected a blueprint each and i got a 2nd one...but then realized for the FIGHTERS you need a SPECIAL STARSHIP blueprint from somewhere else. Will be here for awhile anyway collecting Obelisk Patterns and Technology Components...

Do I have to do anything special besides collect this stuff to have access to a guardian fsd?
