Did you see the runway at decision altitude??? You were also rather low (<7500ft) when you switched from STD to QNH, though in this case it cave you a little more reserve altitude
And with this one nailed, on to the next - there are still plenty to choose from :p
Especially the LOC/DME East with the circling which he's showing.

Same one here in real (different pilot ).
1) To be honest I started seeing the runway (very faintly) right after the MDA.
2) Yeah, I've also set the QNH when passing 10,000ft a number of times when practicing this approach. Also I wasn't sure about the transition altitude.
