Just went to the grocery store. Parked and was getting ready to get out and here comes a Prius driven by a masked Marauder who parks so close I doubt if I can get out without making contact!
Finally got them to move.
Well off to my new quackacologist.

It wasn't fast, but my CRX Si (purchased new in 1989) was a blast to drive, almost like a go-cart. Only three color choices were available for the Si (red, black and yellow) and I eventually regretted choosing red over yellow.
But for fast, white works for me...

Silver is my color of choice,

I want a Porsche Carrera with the big fin on the rear but not a white one. White is boring.
Fast cars are white.
Black and red not the popular color for fast cars?
Really?
There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

LOL! No but maybe some day. I'll be using my 2004 Toyota Corrolla until it dies.

I want to buy a corvette next, probably a 2000 - 2010ish one. Problem is, I also want to buy a prebuilt kit plane and fly the Arizona - Utah - Idaho corridor...

Yeah, as in how fast they get dirty looking after you've washed them! I'll never willingly own a white car again - or a black one, which I am currently "stuck with" (first black car for me) because the deal was way too good to refuse.
At least my current motorcycle has black wheels though - THERE black is by far the best color to have, and white is ten times worse than a car...
On the hypermiling thing, I don't get why people do that with small cars. I had a couple of vans in my younger years that I'd be extremely easy on about 90% of the time to save gas, and on my twenty-something budget that had real monetary impact, but even in my most broke times I can't ever recall trying to hypermile any of my 4 cylinder cars...
I'm more of a offroad guy now, but if I ever did a fast car again, it'd probably be some flavor of turbo'ed Honda, with today's technology and aftermarket you can build one to be an absolute monster that will embarrass #%&*$# near anything, while being relatively cheap to put together and run.

Mine is right around 139k miles. They are super-reliable cars for sure.

I doubt a current model Corolla would be as solid, Toyota isn't what it used to be and I don't think you can buy too many new vehicles anymore that aren't ridiculously overengineered.
Once out of warranty I wouldn't touch anything made after the mid 2000s.
