You should have gotten a permit for HIP 54530 in the last day or two
The rewards seem sort of lame, or maybe I'm missing it. 5% off outfitting at one station? A new permanent permit for a system that has no compelling content aside from this CG? Or does it?
Who is in? Which side are you on?

No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!
I’ll be on tonite for a go at the CG. With or without the FC, depending on distance from current location. Most likely with as I like all my toys with me.
"However, neither permanent nor temporary system permits apply to fleet carriers, since they are capable of ferrying vessels which could evade detection and authorisation."
But if you go next door that's cool with me. Don't forget Poison Whiskey is aboard the good ship Angband. But if you want to move there I can deal with it, no troubles. HIP 54530 is just 67 light years from Angband. That's nothing, so move when you're ready, even if I have yet to clear out.

CG systems are always full of FC’s, so I go next door. This one being in a permit locked sys just means I’ll prolly have to search for system not full of carriers. Guess I’ll find out in about 5 hrs or so, neh?

So stay where you are, basically?
Might just sit this one out. I hope I misunderstand the rewards, but if I don't I'm not interested from that point of view. CZs are fun in short bursts, but for a CG? I dunno. I'll kick it around. If I do I'll grab the FDL. But I don't know man, fighting for the Feds? Guess I could always join the losing side.....
Too bad because I've been waiting to do a CG for what a year now? More than that I think.

For what it's worth, I read the permit will be available from a megaship on the winner's side after the CG has ended, even if you didn't participate. But it will be just like getting Sirius permit for example, raise rep, run a mission type of thing. Not entirely sure of the details, so joining the winning side in the CG is a more certain path to it.
Wigean, it works like this...
Empire> Federation
King> Admiral
So the King decrees it, and the Admiral says as you wish, milord
Are you on Inara by the way?
Going to log on now and clear out of the good ship Angband. Thanks for the room, I left a tip for the maid. She was wonderful

Wigean, combat Elite is quite the accomplishment. Congrats! I sent you a friend request, and do as you please. No obligation to accept, seriously. I'm way more in to Inara than normal people.

I registered in Inara couple of days ago. I don`t know how it works, yet. I`ll check in tomorrow. It`s 3:24 AM here so I have to do the round and call it a day. Found some interesting stuff on YT that may be slowing me down, but what the heck. Nobody cares.
“We are still in the age of legends. You and I will not enter the promised land. We who have begun always perish before Jericho falls.”
I just docked after a session in the CG. I joined Silver of course. When I logged on, the minimum to hit 75% was at 1.7m. I grabbed the Fer de Lance, and then flew it to Coney Gateway to mount a C4 GSR in it. It was then about 120 light years to HIP 54530. Since I dropped the scoop to fit combat modules, I had to mount a C1 scoop and then flew (slowly) to the CG. Once there I docked at the IWOJ and joined up. My FDL is sort of overkill in a RES, but it is in it's element in a CZ. That was good fun. Actually had two attacks that bypassed shields, just a point of hull for each, so no worries, but cool all the same.
It really burns up the multicannon ammo and I had to synthesize and refill once. Turned in 3m in bonds to sit well within the 75% for the moment. Here's Eagle Weslake as outfitted for this CG
Au contraire, mon frere. This is a discussion board that doesn't have enough discussion, so what you got?
Music.
Like Jeff Beck`s guitar solo in this songI Always liked Pink Floyd. Roger Waters may be the most political of the band, but he also has some fantastics pieces of music.

Pink Floyd is the world's greatest band, so yeah, I get where you are coming from. I play guitar, going past 40 years now. Jeff Beck was an inspiration growing up, but Gilmour is an idol.
That solo has to be a Strat. Whammy bar is clear, and single coils. Could be a different guitar, but I am betting he broke out a Strat for that session. Beck has extraordinary technique. Well he must be 70 now. But I mean through his body of work. Gilmour has that, plus an amazing feel for melody. Soulful. Plenty of players can wow you with their technical ability, but only a few have really touched me. David Gilmour is one. Thanks for sharing that.

Minimum 75% threshold for Silver is up to 2m. I'm going to log on and bump my total a bit to keep it safe. I'll join Neph's PG, but headset is not hooked up so no voice comms today.
Did three or four zones and turned in another 2.3m for 5.3 total, which gets me (barely) in to the 50% for the moment.
