New to me anyway.

I wonder if Paramount has decided to skip movie theaters and just go straight to streaming?

Naunton Beauchamp Worcestershi...
Probably seen the best bits in this extended trailer.
I know nothing of these new-fangled jets, but i was always under the impression that the control column was handled with the most delicate of touches. Yet here we see it being rammed back and the throttle thrust forward....is this authentic or just for dramatic effect?
As to the flying and the section on the camerawork...good to see unrealistic CGI eschewed, so was TC actually flying the aircraft? Was that the Mach Loop in Wales featured in one of the LF sequences?

Well TC did learn to fly a helicopter for a Mission Impossible film so I'd say it was possible.

I can't wait to see Mover (C.W Lemoine) ruin this one smile

With modern fly-by-wire controls and FADEC for the engines, you can slam the controls around all you want, and the software will limit control surface movement to keep you from going outside the flight envelope, or to exceed engine parameters.

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

nice! If possible I will view this in a theater if the extreme safety precautions are in place to my satisfaction (and I say that as already being immunized against covid-19).

It would be the latter. The reality is that a movie depicting modern air combat with 100% accuracy would be boring for the mainstream audience.

These United States of America
I think what they were going for was to mimic Maverick's sort of over the top cowboy pilot motions within the cockpit from the first Top Gun. For me when I saw that it in the trailer it immediately hearkened back to the sight and sound of Maverick yanking the controls around in the Tomcat. I always liked that in the first movie as I thought it looked cool and it had a kind of pleasant clicking sound. smile I'm just guessing but I would think perhaps for both movies its just for show.

I imagine there are lots of crazy situations that happened inside the cockpit in the all stick and rudder days with regards to over doing it one way or another. It seems you hear stories of men and machines taking one or the other too far and something giving. I enjoy hearing the older pilots talking about the singular nuances of specific aircraft that are different one from another and they would have to know what those were.

Well, regardless of whether you like Tom or not, I'm looking forward to seeing the film!
