I wasn't convinced that was going to make it into the air. That's the power of vodka.

Some serious skills on that pilot!

The start is one thing - but with all that wet dirty snow on the tail surfaces, mid-flight I would be scared of a frozen rudder and elevator...

And I wonder what the props look like after that. My Dad had a float plane and would have to file out dings in the prop from water droplets every so often, and that looks like it would rip them up, unless they were made of something really tough.

I see Russian planes are made just like AK-47's. They still work even when covered in mud, snow and dirt!

There are videos of WW2 Luftwaffe airplanes taking off with water, and mud?, flying.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Ok, that video does ...... nothing.

I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Skills in being able to take off from a runway full of mud, snow and dirt? Whether it's a violation or not is irrelevant.

Wrong.
If it`s a skill in beeing stupid , you might have a point.
What I see in the video has nothong to do with skills.
Any idiot pilot can do that.
That the aircraft got airborne is pure luck.
I don t think you are qualified to make such a statement.
