I have seen more movies:
1) Cutting Class - one of Brad Pitt's earliest movies. Horror film that had okay-ish script, but how they edited everything together should not have worked, however, they went all in with the ending and it delivered in a huge way, so what normally would have been a two star movie at best gets three stars out of four.
2) Walk of Shame - Comedy movie that was okay, nothing special, maybe I chuckled once or twice. **1/2 out of ****
3) The Shaft - I watched this because Naomi Watts was in the movie. That was a mistake. I could tell this movie was bad when the actors spoke their first lines in the first scene. Just dumb. *1/2 out of ****
4) The Big Short - Watched because cousin said it was good. Film does a really good job of educating about some of the events leading up to the 2007/2008 financial crisis. Good movie. *** out of ****.
The only one I've heard of is #4. As for Brad Pitt, I had no clue who he was until Thelma & Louise came out which I think was 1992.

Recently watched Tenet. Maybe it was an off day for me, but after 20 minutes I had no idea what was going on I enjoyed the set-pieces though. Seeing someone fight someone else who is clearly going backwards in time is really odd, and I enjoyed it more when I realised that we'd see the fight again going in the "other" direction, with the protagonist fighting both sides of that fight. Too much exposition, not done well. Great concepts, but some of them not really well portrayed IMO, for example the "temporal pincer". Or maybe I just need to see it again, that often works with Nolan movies.

It’s a Russian-made film so I’m so sure it’s not full of rah-rah Putin approved bravado......

"Recently watched Tenet. Maybe it was an off day for me, but after 20 minutes I had no idea what was going on..."
After awhile, I was watching this with my eyes only, and had turned off my brain. Early in the film, the women scientist says to the Protaganist (That's what he's called in the film), "Don't try to understand it." I think that statement was for the audience.

Been watching on Netflix, Space Sweepers. A new Korean film that is not half bad if you don`t mind reading sub titles. Lot of English speaking in it to, all languages.
After reading reviews about Tenant. Never looked back at it. Won`t bother. Same goes for Skylines.

"Castle Rock". Can't understand how the fascinating Multiverse from Stephen King's creative authorship could be made so dull and plodding.

I've also just seen Space Sweepers. I found it quite enjoyable.
As to foreign language films, last night I watched 'The Witch Part 1 Subversion'. A very dark revenge movie. I really enjoyed that one. It's South Korean again about a girl who escapes a government facility. It has a nice twist at the end that I didn't see coming. Starts slowly but then takes off spectacularly.

I enjoyed Tenet as much as I have enjoyed all Nolan movies. I’d probably place it third, behind The Prestige and Inception. I like how you would see several scenes from multiple timeline references, with the same characters on both sides.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Just did a Jason Bourne marathon. Watched all 5. Wish I had skipped the 4th - Bourne Legacy.
Very good premise and storyline. But the chases and fight scenes became too long, overdone, and repetitive. Eventually they became boring rather than exciting. I would bet that if you totaled the entire series time and removed the chase and fight scenes half of the time would be gone.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

The success of the Bourne films is what lead the producers of the James Bond franchise to "reboot" it and dump Pierce Brosnan. I agree the "Bourne Legacy" was not very good and quite forgettable. This is nothing against Jeremy Renner since I think he's a good actor but the script and the chemistry between the lead actors just didn't gel.

I guess it was thriller and crime drama weekend, because I saw a pair of movies:
1) "Cold Comes the Night" -- Brian Cranston is a really grumpy Russian bag man that some Hotel Running mom straggler gets mixed up with over a car and a murder. Good movie, *** out of ****.
2) "The Informer" -- Wow. This was a hell of a movie. I didn't expect so many twists and turns or such a wild script, as I watched because I noticed how nice looking Ana de Armas was when surfing IMDB, so I picked this random movie. The amount of poo sandwiches fed to the main character was something I haven't seen in a film in a very long time. *** 1/2 out of ****
