Very cool to see the gunner positions!! But all over i dont saw armor. Not good to sit in suche a coffin, when a 190 attack it.
Brave boys!!

If you think `thats close enough´, go closer, until the plane fill up the windscreen, then a short burst is enough!

But in seriousness, it was very lightly armored. To imagine sitting in those positions, so much left to fate. I don't know that I would have had the courage.....

Speaking of brave gunners.

While setting up the new Russian planeset I came across a stunning statistic.

In IL-2's the gunners suffered 7 times as many deaths as the pilots.

Heck, even paranoids have enemies.
