I miss playing this. Is there a mod to disable the smudgy HDR and bloom, and de-saturate things a bit though? Last I looked there wasn't.

33lima, Hope you are well Sir. What happened to our STA website? The link is dead. Did they move or are they just done and gone?

S!Blade<><

I will stick with my King Tiger thank you very much!

It's Steve McQueen escaping from Stalag Luft III!

Not sure what happened but the STA/ITM site is back up: https://itmtnksim-2020.forumotion.com/forum

@SippyCup: If you don't still have it, SF is currently only £2.84 on Steam and that version works with both the STA 3.4 donationware mod and the freeware Japanese Community Mod, as Blade and I found out. JCM is here.. https://wikiwiki.jp/pzfr/Steel%20Tank%20Add-on ... (Edge translates it quite well). It's based on the STA 2.2 mod and has some content of its own, like many good missions and some 'fakepanzer' from Sony's Panzer Front like the E-79 and a US super-heavy:

I don't think there is a mod which can alter SF's lighting effects (I don't use or know about Reshade) but the mission weather settings seem to make a difference (these are all from missions that come with JCM):

If I'm reading this right...

https://itmtnksim-2020.forumotion.com/t1471-gpu-forced-aa-and-reshade

...the Nvidia Inspector tweak described enables Reshade to be used without losing SF's anti-aliasing...and the Reshade 'filmic pass' option (whatever that is) looks to get rid of the blurr with distance - if the 3rd pic of the Sherman Jumbo is anything to go by. The other effects illustrated look ghastly to my eye but the filmic pass seems to deal with the blur.

I will just throw this in. There should be some blur of the background. To me only the focus objects in the frame should show perfect detail. I think I like the default best of those 3. I had seen this before and decided not to mess with a good thing honestly. My 2cents worth.

S!Blade<><

Those are some great pics by the way. I particularly like the second to last. yep really nice Sir.
