I'd start by following the signals you can find, talk to those you meet, explore & read/interact with artefacts you find, try to follow what is going on. It slowly unfolds and makes more sense as you get more of the pieces of the puzzle, until you finally can solve the final journey in the ~20 minutes you have available.

Some places are only accessible 'early' in each cycle, others only 'late', and others can be accessed at any time, but might need other information to 'find' them.

Don't want to add too much more, it is fun trying to figure out how things work in this strange solar system and finding the problems you can solve as you gather information and new routes.

I've been playing this recently, not a bad little game. I do like the plasma sniper rifle.

Very interesting. I only have a piddling 619 achievements. But, I get few per hour I guess (e.g. Fallout NV 289hrs on record, 20 of 75 achievements). A lot of my in-game hours are spent modding and testing mods (particularity in Fallout and Skyrim series -- ).

Just checked: Fallout 4 has 1120hrs on record and Skyrim 920hrs -- plus hundreds of out of game mod development hours, I assume. I also assume some folks have more time per game just because they play it more often.

Well many don't care about achievements all that much, but I enjoy hunting them down, in some games anyway. EU IV especially. I find analyzing the completion percentages interesting. Like you play a fantastic game and yet see that only 25% of players have done some of the most basic things and you wonder how this can be?

Thanks mate, and that's what I figured. Which planet did you visit first? I'm so new I can't even really tell if I am flying forwards or backwards lol.

I think it was the nearby ice planet, followed by the twins (donor), after that it was following the leads around the others and back through these and the home planet and beyond again. It isn't a very long game, maybe 10-12 hours depending on how quickly you work through the more tricky passages, but it packs a bunch of neat stuff into that play time.

Thanks Lieste, you're always very helpful. We have a similar taste in games I think, and your grasp of the underlying mechanics is always helpful. I guess I'll play this one in short bursts and maybe at some point I'll have a breakthrough smile

Out of all my achievements, I haven't bothered to hunt a single one. They happen. Probably because I play most games on harder to hardest difficulty.

Paradox is very well known for making extremely complex strategy games. I’m a huge Roman history fan and it took me a while to get into “Imperator Rome” where I felt like I knew what I was doing.

Still turning laps in iRacing, ACC, rFactor2, and RRRE. winner

On the table I have also had time to solo game Advanced Squad Leader and Night Fighter Ace (designed for solitaire play).

Project Cars 2 and F1 2020 is my poison of choice for racing!

I liked PC2 for the car and track variety, but I could never get the FFB feeling right on my Fanatec wheel so I do not run it as often as I would like to. I still enjoy running California Highway and Lyden Hill course from time to time.

True that. EU IV is far and away my favorite Paradox game, but they also make Imperator as PM said (haven't played it myself), Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings, Stellaris, Victoria and more. A good studio if you don't end up objecting to their DLC policy.

In my list yesterday I forgot to add one game I've also played recently, Frost punk. But I only played 30 minutes before I said I had better RTFM smile

Haven't played PC2 in a while but it's by far my favorite for racing.

Currently playing Phasmophobia. Simple and great fun, I'm surprised how well it gets under my skin..
