Glad if it helps. BTW don't discount the significance of refresh rates in the equation. What I mean is that you should consider that refresh rates effectively put a 'hard cap' on frame rates anyway, so it's better to get a monitor with a higher refresh rate than a higher resolution (again, IMHO and research according to online sources, as well as first-hand experience and testing). If your choice is between a 60Hz 4k model or a higher refresh 1440, I'd go with the 1440 unit any day.
This can be even more of a factor if you're considering any sort of variable refresh rate technology in the monitor (GSYNC, Gsync compatible, or Freesync). Again, most gamers will go for higher refresh rates as it allows for higher frame rates and more responsiveness. Of course, I'd have to acknowledge that "most gamers" these days (unfortunately, IMHO) equates to first-person shooter "twitch" games, which WOFF certainly is not. But there is a certain amount of importance to responsiveness even in a flight sim, and (at least for me) fluid motion is more important than even super-high frame rates.
That said, everyone has their preferences
Good luck.
