Yeah...agreed. Creepy-Crawlys look pretty cool though. The chemicals are another story.

Plus in my climate I would only get 3 solid months of use, 4 maybe. But OG's setup looks enclosed, which is ideal.

I find there is very little required for the pool. Clean the filter every two or three weeks. Add chemicals as needed. Put in the automated bottom and side cleaner that randomly moves around vacuum cleaning. Bet I do about two hours of work a month. I don’t get why people complain about pool maintenance. Mine is solar heated so I can swim 9 months of the year.

We live near the shores of Lake Erie -- too cold for most folks to swim in Fall, Winter, Spring. My neighbor across the street has a huge fully glass enclosed and roofed pool with heat. They don't even use that at this point.

From the kitchen window, out front. The back is wooded and has a chicken coop.

Very nice SippyCup. For me that kind of terrain is just so exotic. Lol.

I've not opened mine in 4 years.

Some years it's easy to maintain then other times it rains for 2 days every other week and it's a constant fight to keep chemicals balanced etc.

Cheers, it's a relaxing place... saltwater but it still freezes on really cold weeks. Here's a blizzard a couple of years ago, from the porch.

Yeah. I never had a pool but a few family members have had them in the past, in ground and above. The consensus is that the maintenance is fun if it's your hobby, kind of like anything else. I can see it. Keeping it clean with the right PH could be pretty rewarding if you're into that. I couldn't be bothered with it but many can't be bothered with keeping chickens. I cycle year-round and that's endless maintenance especially in the winter. 20km to work, rinse and dry, clean the drivetrain at lunch, 20km home, repeat. And a deep clean every weekend. Summer is much easier but still requires constant maintenance if you want to get life out of your parts. Much more constant and annoying than keeping a pool clean, but it's fun. A pool would wear me out.

(Before anyone hates, I ride CX so keep to the shoulder and trails until I get into town where a bike is faster than a car. I don't get in anyone's way.)

Ha! I know the type. Usually on Walmart bikes with no helmet and fair weather riders. No DUI's here, just love biking as it's pretty much the perfect stress reliever. I actually look forward to my commute, that's a precious thing. I'm in Nova Scotia.

You maritime provinces are handling the Covid crisis quite nicely. Very low numbers.

Obviously you have no knowledge of Greyhounds Nixer.
Greyhounds are weird....the longer I have them the more I think they are aliens smile They have a unique physiology that only a vet with training in the breed will understand.
They do not retain body heat having little body hair, thin skin and no fat. They are also very susceptible to the opposite, heat stroke.
The general opinion is that if the walker needs a coat, the Greyhounds need one too. Especially in the case of ours imaged, due to age, and past mistreatment before rescue.

The Greyhound is over 13, and after a successful racing career was caged and neglected until a concerned employee notified the Hounds Trust my eldest daughter works for of her plight.

The Saluki X was abandoned by Pikeys, presumably as he had paw problems and therefore no use for illegal hunting.

So please consider the possible situation before posting derisory uninformed comment.
