Anyone tried to get SF2 working in VR?

I know someone managed it with Rise of Flight, and I read of a single person getting SF2 working with hacks and now out of date software with a DK Rift, but otherwise have found nothing.

Would be nice to fly some of the types only available in SF2 in the VR world.

I've read it and I'm still confused.

What does it bring that a trackIR doesn't, game is still 2D, even through the lenses, is it not ?
