No Halifaxs? Halifax does not get a fair memory in World War 2 history. . This game will be a sequel to B-17 II which was also made by Microprose which I believe came out in 2000. It's a study sim of the B-17 so why would it have a Halifax in it? And besides, nothing is stopping a developer from making a Halifax study sim. One hasn't been made because there is not enough interest on the part of developers. This would be like someone asking and complaining about why didn't Falcon 4.0 have any F/18's or F-14's in it.

Slightly off topic. I grew up on Canadian Military Bases. As a teen there was an arcade/pool hall called the Lancaster Club. "Meet me at the Lang".
Sorry, nostalgia time for me. Back on topic. No problem and that's an interesting story as well! On a related note I'm sure you know that the second top scoring scout pilot of the Entente during WW1 was a Canadian.

None of the Microprose games have a flyable Lancaster in it so what exactly are you referring to? Why did he say Lancaster? Spotted this on U tube B-17, B-24, and Lancaster bombers in the Mighty Eight II ( or whatever they will call it ) https://youtu.be/wHgGmjX-YaU

Interesting, very interesting if it's 'not arcadey'
my TLDR(w) on the video- Microprose has coopted another developers project which was to be a flyable Lancaster VR capable, 3 position coop, with an intention to add more flyable RAF bombers (incl Halifax) somewhere down the line. Microprose 'partnering' should ad flyable B17 and B24. Wait for the official announcement, and don't hold your breath on release date.
Gotta say 4 engine multi position AC is not an easy option

Yup. There have been many proposed games from the past which ended up being permanent vaporware.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

I currently live 10 mins from the base. I was a member of the gym there until Covid shut it out to civilians.

One by the name of Brown lived 30 miles from where I live. The other, the object of the Baron's attack, became the famous bush pilot WOP May.
