`the game had a massive layoff and new people were brough in to finish it because it was cheaper this way under their labor laws.. With a Billion dollars worth of sales on the horizon, I was daydreaming that every member of the team would get a "record setting" bonus (what I would have done were I the Project Manager). Now, we read the "main" team possibly lost their jobs? If so, not a good picture for CDPR to paint.

The previous record holder, Fallout 4, did 12 million upon release and over 13.5 million to date, although Bethesda didn't have the return fiasco and probably spent less on marketing and development than CDPR did.
I would imagine that Skyrim sold just as many copies or at least close to that number.

hotfix 1.06 PC-specific Removed the 8 MB save file size limit. Note: this won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.
man.....they really just shoved a console version to pc with rtx plastered over it,also CDPR removed all Open World RPG tags on their night city wire and youtube videos...Swapped to Action Adventure. LOL

They were so adamant this was an rpg before not an action game........they are just covering their base legally.......this is a freaking scam, and now some people found there may have been illegal insider info trade happening before release.

Epic Games Launcher makes AMD Ryzen [and Intel] CPUs run [10C to 20C] hotter even without any game running
At this moment there is no fix for this issue, however, there are workarounds. A good idea is to link Epic Games Launcher to GOG Galaxy, which has a built-in feature to automatically close ‘original’ launchers after the game is shut down. This way the launcher will no longer be working in the background once users leave the game.
It is also reported that EGL sends 14x as much data as Steam and NVIDIA Experience while working in the background. Epic games distributes Cyberpunk 2077.

For the games you have to pay for I also know that Epic takes a significantly lower cut per copy compared to Steam so hence why you see more and more developers releasing their games on EPIC instead of Steam.

Thanks for that info. I was not aware that Steam had made changes to their percentage cut recently.

Epic Games launcher high power use was reported above. Epic Games Launcher will receive a fix for high CPU usage bug
Epic Game Launcher was utilizing above average CPU resources. It didn’t matter if the application was in the foreground or hidden in the task manager, the launcher was still utilizing a few percent of the CPU power.
Earlier today, Sergiy Galyonkin, a developer behind Epic Game Launcher, has confirmed that his team has already identified the issue and have implemented a fix that is currently being tested. It is unknown when the patch will go live for all users.
