With a Billion dollars worth of sales on the horizon, I was daydreaming that every member of the team would get a "record setting" bonus (what I would have done were I the Project Manager).

Now, we read the "main" team possibly lost their jobs? If so, not a good picture for CDPR to paint.

Also how is 'less than 1/5th' the same and proving you right when even your quote portraying doom and gloom only - only suggests that it is between 1/4th and 1/3rd...?

That is some bogus math, even if I accept that the game is missing 2/3rds of 'a game'. Which it clearly isn't.
There are some 'marketing hype' and 'window dressing' features which are missing, some core functions (police reaction) which are underdeveloped... but the 80 odd hours of content are more than obviously enjoyable to many, and the current, 'soon after release' condition is like "Mafia on Steroids" or "Deus Ex on Steroids", neither of which are a fundamental condemnation.

The previous record holder, Fallout 4, did 12 million upon release and over 13.5 million to date, although Bethesda didn't have the return fiasco and probably spent less on marketing and development than CDPR did.

I would imagine that Skyrim sold just as many copies or at least close to that number.

Skyrim seems to have had perhaps only 7 million launch sales, but will probably beat both of the above put together in total sales at 30 million to date.

hotfix 1.06
PC-specific
Removed the 8 MB save file size limit. Note: this won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.

man.....they really just shoved a console version to pc with rtx plastered over it,also CDPR removed all Open World RPG tags on their night city wire and youtube videos...Swapped to Action Adventure. LOL

"About the game:
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City,"

They were so adamant this was an rpg before not an action game........they are just covering their base legally.......this is a freaking scam, and now some people found there may have been illegal insider info trade happening before release.

This infernal song is by now firmly stuck in my head.

Speaking of Pain, I wouldn't want to be in CDPR management's shoes right now.

At this moment there is no fix for this issue, however, there are workarounds. A good idea is to link Epic Games Launcher to GOG Galaxy, which has a built-in feature to automatically close ‘original’ launchers after the game is shut down. This way the launcher will no longer be working in the background once users leave the game.

It is also reported that EGL sends 14x as much data as Steam and NVIDIA Experience while working in the background.

Epic games distributes Cyberpunk 2077.

Hmmm...why is the Epic launcher sending so much data? I'm glad I have Cyberpunk in Steam.

That makes sense. Epic pays the developers for these "free games" to offer the subscribers so they have to make their money from SOMEWHERE. For the games you have to pay for I also know that Epic takes a significantly lower cut per copy compared to Steam so hence why you see more and more developers releasing their games on EPIC instead of Steam.

that is #%&*$#, its not that lower, only 10%, steam has already changed the cut with higher profiles ones, and the bigger cut for publisher was suposed to make games cheaper, that doesnt happen at all on epic store, sooooo.....im enjoying what ubisoft is doing, taking their money upfront and laughing their way to the bank,.

Thanks for that info. I was not aware that Steam had made changes to their percentage cut recently.

Epic Games Launcher will receive a fix for high CPU usage bug

Epic Game Launcher was utilizing above average CPU resources. It didn’t matter if the application was in the foreground or hidden in the task manager, the launcher was still utilizing a few percent of the CPU power.

Earlier today, Sergiy Galyonkin, a developer behind Epic Game Launcher, has confirmed that his team has already identified the issue and have implemented a fix that is currently being tested. It is unknown when the patch will go live for all users.
