DCS Winter Sale 2020 and Free to Play

Note that an internet connection is required for the Free to Play event and that Free to Play modules will not work in DCS World in OFFLINE mode.

I`ll probably go for the F-14 A/B this time though.
Shame is that I fly DCS very seldom nowadays.
I`ll probably get my HP Reverb G2 in the end of the year, so that will make me put some ours in the sim again..

I'm trying to hold off buying anything until I've learned much more about the F-18 I already have.

But I want the Huey. And the F-16 would be a lot of fun. And the Mirage, which I tried in the last free period, is soooo much fun.

I had to look up the Marianas. If I'm looking at the correct place, it doesn't hold much interest for me looks like stuff to do for fast jets & stuff that can disembark from a carrier, but not much else?

Carrier naval battles, amphibious landings...

I have zero interest in any of the WWII stuff but I may pick up the F-14.

I feel the same on the WWII, though I may fly some during the free time.

I'd like to have the Tomcat too but it cost too much for what time I would spend with it right now. I think my next fast jet after I get more proficient in the F18 will be the F16.

Bought the Channel map, the Fw-A8 plus the Horrido campaign for it!... that should keep me occupied for a bit

Once DCS actually makes campaigns, careers and missions I'll probably buy a couple of the maps and planes. In the meantime I have IL-2 which keeps me plenty busy.

What what? Does Trooper live in either Jersey or Guernsey?

Nice Trooper. I"m tempted to pick up the Fw 8 as well as I really enjoy flying the dub dub II aircraft. The P47 is a real beast and I look forward to flying it in mission's setting

My SSD is only 500 gig and I have about 75 gig free after some rearraigning and deleting. And I'm now downloading 60+ gig of trial DCS aircraft (plus 3 gift aircraft[F5, F86, MiG15] from a friend of mine) to use up most of that free space!

Wish I had time to learn more modules. The F/A-18 is amazing, but I just can't commit to it. Will get the F-16 eventually, I feel at home in it from BMS. Did buy the Persian Gulf map, finally... it's awesome!

I like F-16, but not going to pay $56 for it. I think I paid $35 last year for F-18. If F-16 was that price I'd get it.

Mirage is just a little rocket ship. I love playing astronaut school in it, blasting up to 89k feet in a zoom climb

I think this is pretty much a universal feeling here with SimHQ flight simmers! It's time to buy more Lotto tickets....

I wish you could buy each aircraft in two different ways: full avionics and flight model only.


For something I want to learn a lot about, the F-18, I'd buy the full model

For something I just want to go screaming across the Nevada desert 50 feet off the deck, the Mirage or Viggen, I'd just buy the flight model at half price.
