Waldorf, welcome to the forums. There are no issues I'm aware of when running WOFF on the higher resolutions you mention, however you are going to want to consider your system specs and GPU capabilities, in particular if you're toying with the idea of 4K. The more pixels being filled the more rendering power it takes to do it.
Cheers, and new lads buy the drinks!

Sure, Ryzen 7 3800X, RTX 3070 32 gigs ram You should be fine In fact, I'd hazard that the 30-series GPUs really only "earn their keep" at higher resolutions compared to prior gen GPUs. Those are fantastic CPUs, BTW. Remarkable how AMD has come along lately.

Which brings us to the related topic of Ultrawide 3440x1440 (21:9) vs 2560x1440 (16:9). Let us assume that each monitor is running at the same 144hz refresh rate. In any other game, the ultrawide aspect providing greater peripheral vision should be a slam dunk advantage. In flight sims, however, especially icons-off flight sims like WOFF DID Campaign or IL-2, the issue becomes a bit more complicated for one simple reason - dots. My current 32" screen runs at 2560x1440 with a vertical dimension of 15.5" (that's inches for you metric types) SWMBO's 34" Ultrawide at 3440x1440 sports a vertical dimension of 13.125" In my experience that's a huge difference in pixel size. 93 Pixels per inch for my 2K monitor vs 113 PPI for the Ultrawide. On the Ultrawide you will have a wider view but dots and aircraft will appear smaller. For some of us north of the half-century mark that's an issue. For those with younger, sharper eyes, not so much. I flew with the W.I.F.E.'s ultrawide monitor and didn't care for the tradeoff. Your mileage may vary. My suggestion is to use a place like Best Buy with a 30-day return window and give both a test. This was how I found out that WOFF doesn't play well with a triple monitor setup. Things get very stretchy. I do wish somebody made an Ultrawide 3440x1440 with a 15.5" screen height but until that day I'll be content with my 32" 2k LG monitor. It works better for me than an Ultrawide and the jump from 75 to 144hz was a huge game-changer. In retrospect, one thing I might have done differently was consider a curved screen.

Give it to your better half? Or keep the money and spend it on laser eye surgery. I think it’ll cost less
