The ED-bug bit me again so I've been doing mostly combat and cargo hauling missions for now. I have over 4 billion credits and I'm not buying a fleet carrier so I have zero incentive to do any more mining runs.
In addition to Odyssey, I think what the game really needs are some new ships. With the fully engineered ships I currently have, there's no reason for me to get anything else that is currently available on the ship roster. The last ship I bought was the Imperial Cutter and I've had it for several months now.

I'm not 100% sure but it looks like movement inside your ship isn't going to be possible, at least not in the initial release.
I read somewhere that was confirmed, there is no in-ship wandering. Maybe some in-station wandering, but not your ship. Which is a shame IMO. Also no VR support.
I get it regardless as I bought the fully inclusive all-DLC option right at the beginning.

Keep us posted. I didn't have the full PASS option, so I am going to wait a bit until more reviews are in (and maybe a SALE!). I was disappointed about the lack of in-ship wandering. From stuff I have been reading, it almost seems that this is a parallel FPS type game alongside regular ELITE Dangerous. Ballsy move for FRONTIER. Wondering how it will pan out. I am sure we will see a whole new level of OPEN Gankers with Sniper rifles on planet surfaces...

Odyssey will be a breath of fresh air even if it doesn't add movement inside your ship. I still occasionally play ED but I've pretty much run out of things to do for the most part.

I halfway agree with this. I think the game eventually needs human interaction in order to maintain interest once most other activities have been done. For example, in my case I haven't had any need to mine asteroids or to do cargo hauling missions for a while now because I simply don't need the money. I've had over 4 billion credits for a while now and I've already bought all the ships I want. I still do the occasional combat but it gets monotonous after a while. Exploration? I think I've done all the exploration I'm interested in doing. I already visited SagA+, Beagle Point and several black holes and nebulas.
