I hope we get to see some in game footage soon:) pretty please It would be quite a treat. But it's also true that time spent putting together footage takes away from precious developer time. Hopefully we can fly WOFF: NEXT for ourselves within a few months. Work has finally slowed down for me so I plan on putting in a bunch of flight hours.

Squads that are 25 miles or less from the front lines now focus operations on the front line sector nearest them where possible...Enemy squads encountered are now more likely to be the squadrons in the immediate vicinity along the front lines. Good news. Flying past other airfields that could have handled the mission always seemed silly to me. I envisioned waving at them as they flew to patrol near my home field. And Intercepts with a twenty minute flight enroute are just ridiculous. It's an incredible amount of code and work to make things "realistic", but flying past an airfield isn't a big deal as sometimes they may be attacking another different target also near the front. But yes it will be better as all things we try to make it better! Frequency of ops revised and more intense during battles. Yeah, always seemed a bit wrong to fly one sortie a day in the middle of a major offensive, especially after 1916. This is also related to campaign frequency setting in the Workshop, and the general OOB (Order of Battle) information for each squadron in the major battles which can vary. There's a fair few squadrons. The whole rebuilding the entire air war thing as I say is incredibly complex to make happen, even what is in WOFF at the moment. One day we may recreate real life 100%.

New footage yes I'd love to do some. We are too busy at the moment but hopefully soon. If only some alpha / beta tester had the spare time. lol Keep rocking on Pol. The list of improvements is extraordinary!

Nothing is ever going to be 100% but it's also true that even now, nothing else is even remotely as close to that unattainable goal as WOFF.

New Lewis Gun code - player can now (must now) reload (Ctrl+Shift+G) after each drum is empty (or anytime before) each craft has the historically correct number of drums and rounds.
Lewis Guns on Foster mounts can now be lowered (Ctrl+G) and raised (Shift+G) - Gun must be fully lowered to reload on those!
Hi, I am curious if these restrictions will apply AI controlled aircraft as well?

Hi, I am curious if these restrictions will apply AI controlled aircraft as well? Too much info spoils things I think, but no it doesn't. Too much overhead to make all these happen everywhere, for example an AI pilot 5 miles away having to reload his lewis.

Oh, come on! Now you are just teasing us! Which...is...uh...exactly what you are supposed to do until you are ready to release... Um... carry on, then!
The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...

I hope my post wasn't construed as complaints, though I can see how it could be. I understand that trying to code everything that happens more or less on its own in real life is literally impossible. As much as one can who's never tried it, that is. Those are just a couple of things that I've noticed and put down to that very fact. I was expressing joy in the fact that you've finally managed to crack those nuts.
"WOFF: 202X" gave me another idea for a title...WOFF 20-Twentysomething.
SALUTE TO ALL!
