One thing to consider is that this is a description from an obviously disgruntled former employee (who maybe was cut because he wasn't up to the job?), and as such all his claims have to be taken with a huge grain of salt.

I worked 5 years ago on a Boeing. I can say with confidence that this was the worst job. Everyone is out for themselves; there is no team culture. Managers are uninterested in you other than to get you in trouble.

And this folks is why monopolies are never a good thing. From the perspective of the US government, why was AT&T broken up for having a monopoly but not Boeing?
