Hello,

I'm new in this forum and have flown the most time of the last years Microsofts Flight Simulator (2004). Now I want to change the plane and fight in the air wink . In the first 1990th years I've played before with the old 'Combat Pilot' on Commodores Amiga.

My interesting is the Falcon 4.0-game, but I feel me slain with all the versions.
Can anyone tell me or enumerate me, what it gives for (last and best) versions? I've read, that the BMS-version (4.32?) is the "state of the art", isn't it!?
What do I need for it, where can I get or download it and can I play it with an i3-Intel-Core-CPU (3.70 GHz), 8 GB Ram and a 2 GB-Nvidia-Geforce GTX660-GPU on a 64-Bit-Windows 7-system? And can I fly/play it with the Saitek X52-System and the Saitek-Flight-Rudder-Paddels? And can I program all the keys of the Saitek for systems of the plane? And - because I'm having four monitor-screens on my PC - can I use more than one screen by the Sim?

I know, it's a lot of questions… but I'm still on the beginning of my career for the F16.

Need help, please … many thanks

Welcome to SimHQ, Steve!

BMS is the most recent / advanced community modification to Falcon 4.0, that I am aware of.

Somebody may chime in here with direct answers to some of your questions, but you may not get a lot of response due to the sheer magnitude of the learning curve you are facing if you jump into BMS. I don't say that to discourage you. I mention it because you will need to acquire a LOT of information in order to make that jump... and your best source for that sim-specific knowledge is going to be the BMS web site / forums. https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/content.php

You should find the answers, not only to the questions you are currently asking, but also the rest that are bound to pop up, over there.

To answer your question about Saitek controllers, they should work with BMS. That leads to the next question though... is it better to use the Saitek profiling software, or the sim's built in controls mapping menu system? I imagine you will find well-reasoned opinions on that over in the BMS forums. (Maybe in here, too, if you do a search for it).

Good luck with it!
