original meaning of a deck of playing cards: 52 cards for 52 weeks in the year. 2 colors for day and night 4 suits for the 4 seasons and 13 weeks per season. Twelve court cards representing the 12 months. If we add each of the cards (ace + ace + ace + ace + two + two + three + seven + eight ... and etc) of the game we will get 364. The card game is an agricultural calendar that told us about the weeks and the seasons. With each new season, it was King's week, followed by Queen's week, Jack's and so on until AS week changed seasons and we started over with a new color. Jokers were used in leap years. And you, did you know it?
There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Tex Ritter and Red Sovine also both did versions of this. I don't know if the premise of the song is true, but it makes a great story.
Thanks for posting this. I'll bet most here never heard it.

Also there is some story about Suicide Kings...I can't remember it but there was a reason why he's the only king with a sword, represents someone and something... If you take a look at the king of hearts of playing cards, you may notice that he is quite unique. He is the only one without a moustache. In 15th century French manufacturers assigned actual historical figures to each of the king card. King of hearts became Charles the Great, who most likely had moustache. In fact, the drawing had moustache too at first – they disappeared over time due to manufacturing imperfections. At that time playing cards were stamped using wooden stamps. They were carved by hand, copying the previous design. Over time these wooden blocks would be worn down, making the drawing less and less vivid. When copying these cards, manufacturers started skipping the moustache, because it wasn’t visible anymore. This is also the reason why king of hearts looks like he is stabbing himself in the head. Originally he had an axe, but at some point the axe head disappeared and the handle turned into a dagger, which kind of looks like he is killing himself. v6, boNes

And the scammer strikes again. As soon as I saw this old thread bumped up I knew it was due to a scammer.
