- Janes Longbow Anthology (Longbow Gold without 3DFX Patch to be able to fly the AH-64A too)
- Janes F-15
- Janes F/A18
- Janes US Air Force Fighters
- Janes Israeli Air Force Fighters
- Janes Fighters Anthology
- Janes Fleet Command
- Janes 688i Hunter Killer
- Janes WWII Fighters
- Janes Attack Squadron

and many more of those good old times, but not from Janes Simulations (like Dangerous Waters, Sub Command, AH-64 Longbow, Hind, EF2000...). All is installed on my retro rig. I have W98SE and XP installed as dual boot system. I'm using nGlide to be able to use higher resolutions as the original ones, if the sim runs with it. nGlide is even useable with a W98 system to get higher res, but with the use of this old system on a retro rig you don't have all the other problems you have to fix to run the simulations on modern systems. winkngrin

I have the gold patch, its bundeled with the Longbow Anthology, but after aplying it to Longbow 1 you aren't able to fly the A-model of the Apache anymore.

Jane's:
Longbow 1 Gold
Longbow 2
F-15 (few menue problems)
F/A-18
USAF
IAF (Cockpit view stutters!! Not able to fix it! Any guesses??)
688(i)
Fighters Anthology

Microprose:
European Air War (my only true WW2 game)
M1 Tank Platoon 2
Gunship!
B-17 Mighty Eight
Red Storm Rising
F-117 2.0
Strike Eagle 3
Fleet Defender

Digital Integration:
Hind
Tornado
F-16

DID:
TAW 2.0
EF2000 Reloaded
TFX

Novalogic:
Comanche 3 Gold
Armored Fist 2
Armored Fist 3

Despite this:
Harpoon Ultimate Edition
Falcon 3.0 Gold
Strike Commander

And a few to come. I'm on Windows 10 here btw.
Next one => Mig Alley (this is a tough nut to get running for now.. no way to install a patch without the help of a WinXP VM)

I own all these sims, a few since decades, a few re-bought via steam and imagine... i did only finish 2 or 3 of them. Still excited to have them up and running to get through all these once and for all smile
The reason I still play them is the atmosphere. Where else can you fly a decent detailed F-14 against the soviet union? Where else can you experience the drama flying over an airbase with a Tornado with missiles and tracers flying by?

These are all time capsules of many different eras (preserved nicely) which aren't present almost anywhere else. Now, we got all sorts of sandboxish empty high fidelity sims (like DCS... still waiting for the dynamic campaign) or arcade sims.... with Falcon BMS still being the king since 2 decades. Got F-14 from DCS and its ok, interesting but I'd rather fly the F-14 in Fleet Defender because the world around the cockpit just is what the F-14 is all about => WWIII.

I am half way through the Fighters Anthology Vietnam campaign at the end of 2020, If I knew about this how well put together this Jane's game was I would have played years ago.

I have also a real big collection of flight and military simulations. I collected it over the past 25 years. About 1000 or more simulations sorted in slim line cases in alumium DJ-suitcases. Only english or american versions, because I don't like the german versions. Sadly I had to throw away all the nice cardboard boxes a few years ago, cause I didn't have the room for them anymore. I only kept the medias and the manuals.

At the moment I'm building a controll-stand to play all my old and new military simulations. This stand is running four computers of different ages and different OS to be able to play all the simulations from the past until now. On the left side is the old retro combi, the right side are two more modern systems. Retro is only playable with the center monitor, the rest could be played with the triple view. It's also getting changeable HOTAS-Systems which are also interchangeable with the VR-Cockpit I also built, after the stand is finished. This could be seen in the background. It's also running two different systems when it's finished. The HOTAS systems will be complete own constructions (not the old FLCS TQS seen here) made out of parts from original flightsticks and throttles or own 3D printed parts.

Sticks and throttles from the F-14, F-15, F-16, F/A-18, A-10, AV-8B, AH-64D, OH-58D and a collective are planned. Many of them are already near finish, but there is still a lot of work to do.

I was building a fullsize universal pit for helicopter and jets the last years, but this project took so long and now so many things where outdated, so I decided to start from scratch again, but this time with a little different aspect. The new VR-Pit will still have a front panel, an overhead and side consoles for use with it's triple view, but much less functions. Most will now be controlled with two identical left and right handed trackballs and the HOTAS in VR, if the simulation can run in VR.

The two stacked computers at the picture are the retro systems. The upper one has an old K6-400, a Geforce 256 DDR and an Voodoo I, the one at the bottom is an Athlon 3Ghz Dual Core with a Geforce 5900 Ultra and two Voodoo II in SLI. The first one is running Windows 98 SE and the second one is running a dual boot between Windows ME and XP. The parts between the two towers are an USB-Switch, a monitor switch and a 2.1 amplifier which are used to be able to connect all four systems and the sound to the control stand. The other two computer are an Phenom II X4 965 with a Geforce RTX1650 and a Ryzen 5 2600X with a Geforce RTX2060.

In the VR-Pit is one Phenom II X6 1100T with two Geforce 660GT in SLI to run things which are better compatible to Windows 7 like the old Strike Fighters Series for example and for things like DCS there is a second system running an Ryzen 9 3900XT with a RTX 3090.

i have installed
fighters Anthology,
f-15
Fleet Command
Longbow 1 and 2
Janes WW2 Fighters
F/a-18
USNF 97
USNF Gold
ATF
ATF Cold War
Attack Squadron
even the arcadey JASF

I have all of them working fine except for F/A-18 on windows 10 - that one i have working but in such a hobbled fragile way that

Janes WW2 Fighters has impressed me the most as being probably the most perfectly stable game of the lot that runs unaided in windows 10
