"Probably" just a tropical storm but all the spaghetti models seem to be ending up in my bowl. Lot's of weird steering currents looks like.
Let's hope it stays a tropical storm, all the rest that have come in the gulf this year seem to get worse as they approach land.
S. Florida looks like it is getting real wet.
Myself and a couple of others here are right in the path of this one. Hopefully, it is no big deal.

And yet all these storms still don’t deter hordes of Northeasterners from moving to my State and making my traffic congestion worse.

I feel your pain, same happens in SC.

I’m right in the path of this storm. UDT it looks to be just a storm. I’m expecting 25 mph winds. Maybe some gusts up to 30. Buts that’s just a normal storm.

There are certainly some bizarre models though. One has it passing right over our area, up through Jax, out into the Atlantic, then doing a u-turn and coming back for us!
Also, if it keeps swinging west as forecast, much warmer water out there in the gulf, over 80 F. Should get back to a hurricane if it spends anytime out there.
Yep, the latest NHC update says it's gonna get stronger again.
Not a good time for a trip to the Keys. Just over Cuba and the eye is reforming already.
Am not even gonna post the latest spaghetti mess, it's too bizarre.

It's been pretty crappy indeed but I'm sure it's nothing to compared to 1349 for Europeans or 1945 for Germans!

I'm not sure if "Ye memorie boxe" was a thing in 1349. All the carpenters were too occupied making coffins.
However, across a field and the Piddle brook from me, domiciled on the edge of the village of Naunton Beauchamp, is the site of Sheriffs Naunton. Our village was untouched by the Black Death, but the population of that village was completely decimated, and the buildings, stores and livestock 'putte to fyre".
The University of Worcester, our nearest city is planning to conduct a archaeological survey of the site; the first ever, as the previous incumbents of Naunton Court manor house refused permission. Perhaps some memory boxes will be unearthed!
As to Germany 1945, the family I worked in Aachen in 1973 for had a memory box of precious artifacts and photos of Volkssturm family members and properties lost in the hard fought and depredatious battle for that city. The first German City to be captured by the Allies 10/1945.

Just outside of Orlando, here, and it's pouring. Forecasts say it's gonna do this all week. Oh and by the way....Aachen, 10/1944.

Actually, Pershings weren't shipped to Europe until January of 1945. You might be thinking of the famous fight between the Pershings and Panthers in the streets of Cologne in March of '45. But, we're derailing this thread. So back on subject.....wow, look at all that rain!

I'm in Sarasota, it's sprinkled a bit, looks dreary but not really anything resembling Tropical Storm type weather and they closed the schools for this. Eta is typical of 2020, drunk and lost.

It's ridiculous and sensationalist headlines like that which completely turned me off permanently to any of the mainstream news networks. Fox, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. They're all moronic.
