I've started on the Russian plane set which means digging through all the old models at the Talley-ho site to what was available. As you all are aware I don't produce too many planes from scratch, preferring to work with what's already been done.

There are plenty of models but they're all pretty old and produced with some primitive editing tools which means they have to get upgraded before I'll release them.

I realized I've never show a before and after set so I took some shots of the Il-4:

The original sitting on the runway. Blocky engine nacels, jagged wheels and wingtips, no shadow -

Some in flight shots display a rather rough model with minimal underside textures, jagged edges, a number of mismapped elements and incomplete window transparencies. -

After the upgrade -

In addition, there was no cockpit, wingview nor hangar picture. I will have to build the cockpit, the wingview I can adapt from something else and getting decent picture for the hangar from the internet is a piece of cake.

Each of these upgrades take about a week so it will be awhile before you see this set.

If you think `thats close enough´, go closer, until the plane fill up the windscreen, then a short burst is enough!

Nice work, Ray! When you get to the LaGG-3 or 5 there's a cockpit for it on my addons page at Tally Ho !

Brian, one of my projects has been to make the cockpit instruments more functional and immersive.

I've edited the X.3dx's to move the instruments closer to the pilot which makes them more readable. I also added lights, toggle switches and levers that have action codes.

So, when you lower the landing gear, a lever moves to a different position or if you lower the flaps you might see a red light indicator or a toggle switch move to a different position.

I've done so with the Lagg-3 cockpit and added those excellent gauges of yours.

I'll probably go back to some of the aircraft I've already finished and use your gauges in them too, so thanks.
