Interesting indeed. Totally inaccurate with the 4 areas around me I checked out, but hearing music in so many languages and styles worldwide (if they're accurate), definitely interesting. For example, I'd never heard music sang in Italian, or Russian, or whatever languages I hit in Africa...

I worked in a warehouse in southern California for a few years. A lot of Spanish-speakers in the section right next to mine and I could hear the radio station they played clearly. It's very interesting hearing a song you've known for a long time sung in a language you don't understand. Kind of like playing "Name That Tune" all day long.

I lived in West Texas for 4 years and that was quite an interesting experience for me in many ways but as far as music goes, I'd say that easily half of the local radio stations were either Tejano or Country music. biggrin
