Today I discovered that using on sandwiches is quite popular around the world. I never heard of such a thing but supposedly grilled cheese sandwiches with thinly sliced lemons in them are popular in parts of this planet.
Aside from lemonade or lemon flavored candy or lemon in ice tea
I never knew people actually use lemons for other things? Why anyone want raw lemon slices in anything? I hate the sour bitter taste of raw lemon.
If there's one thing I miss about my house in Jax, FL is my lemon and grapefruit trees. The fruit was *huge* on both, and weren't bitter (my grapefruits were almost as sweet as oranges).
I buy large bags of lemons to put in water. I don't care much for drinking water unless I'm really thirsty from exercising, but a 1/4 lemon squeezed and dropped into my lidded plastic cup makes drinking lots of water daily more enjoyable.

Personally, I don't like lemon in iced tea. Just a tiny bit in a gallon and all I taste is lemon. I once complained of lemon in the tea at a restaurant (and I rarely complain at restaurants) and was assured by the waitress that the batch did not have any lemon in it. She went back and found out that an earlier batch in the same pitcher did have lemon in it.

Strictly speaking Citroen is a brand not a model, but I get what you mean I owned a Citroen once, pretty good car but can't be self repaired. Too many bespoke tools.

Nice cars. I`v owned 2 of them. One GS and one GS GTI. @DM. I had quite a few trips to southern England in the 90`s. I saw a lot of Citroens there. Both taxies and privatly owned. It surprised me as GB has many car brands and I would expect that people would favourize british cars. Do you know the reason for this? Price could be a factor maybe, but french?

Basically any car brand that can stand to make a right-hand-drive version will sell in the UK I guess many European/Asian manufacturers see the right-hand-drive as quite lucrative given that UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan etc are all quite big markets. As for why we don't favour British brands, of course most of them are owned by foreign interests now in any case. For a while back in the 70's & 80s they were also not keeping up with the quality of foreign-made cars (hence why they eventually got sold).

I started driving in the UK in 1978. I owned a string of British cars starting with..
Hillman Imp Reliant Rebel (4 wheels not 3) 2 x Austin Allegro 2 x Hillman Avenger Morris Marina Mini Metro (oh the shame). Failed the MOT every year, usually for the same things.
Any Brit over a certain age will look through that list and easily see why the British car industry failed.
My first Japanese car, a Datsun 180B was a revelation. Everything worked! Plus, it didn't sound like a steamroller going over corrugated iron.
*EDIT* How on Earth did we go from Lemon sandwiches to cars? Welcome to SimHQ
I believe I have seen some Opels camuflied as Vauxhall if I remember right. Electric cars are popular here in Norway. Jaguar is doing good here with the I Pace, but are they still British?

Are Teslas popular in Norway? I believe Tesla recently built or is currently building a big production plant in the Berlin, Germany area.

This thread has made me curious so I did some research on UK cars. I was under the impression that Rolls Royce was still British owned but nope! It's owned by the Krauts!

Teslas are the most popular electric car in Norway. The government has cut sales tax on electric cars to stimulate people to go electric. There are also a few benefits you get. You can drive in bus lanes to avoid heavy trafic and free or cheaper access to toll roads. I believe you can park for free in the cities as well. The sales tax on cars is 25% so you save quite a lot as cars are very expencive in Norway.

Had I been drinking coffee I think I would have spat it out when I read this.
In Florida, sales tax on cars is 6%!
