Did either of you have FastStart enabled or disabled?

Yes on turning off Fast Start. I have discovered that enabling Fast Start on Win 10 can result in corruption on the non-Win 10 drives when you boot up a non-win 10 OS following a shu down of Win 10. This is because Win 10 does not close/release its disc activiy during shut down if Fast Start is enabled. I am wondering if any of you have experienced disc corruption on non -win 10 discs as a result of having Fast Start enabled. The following link speaks to the problem: Fast Start disk corruption

Technically not multi-booting various Win OSes - but I am on a single-boot/HD, two partition setup with Win10 Pro (ver. 1809) and OS X (Mojave 10.14.x) on the "trash can" Mac Pro 2013 (trash can in terms of the shape, not in terms of my feelings about it ). No fast start enabled on the Win10 side, but I have tweaked the "sysinternals" third-party program and the startup items panel to stop several unnecessary processes/panels from loading on startup, such as Steam background actions, OneDrive, etc. Files are transferred between the two partitions via a third, ExFat partition since the Win and Mac sides can't see each other without proprietary software that I don't need. I partitioned my C drive and had W10 with Linux mint, using the W10 bootloader.
But after a mistake (by me) in Linux as a newbie I was forced to wipe my PC and load W10 all over. I'm still considering doing this again though. If interested in doing it again, I recommend the Ubuntu-based ver. of Linux Mint instead of the Debian-based one, since the Debian variant is a "rolling" release and - well - as with all rolling releases might require eventually tinkering at the command line to get things working again. Also look into lighter desktop manager editions of Linux Mint such as "Mate" or "Xfce" - the big/popular Cinnamon variant is somewhat more experimental. (For the record, I am no longer running any variant of Linux in my VirtualBox installs - never did have Linux loaded directly onto hardware - too risky.) Von S
