64 here. Not in particularly good shape, but hope to rectify that once I retire.

54....55 in a few months. Best shape of my life too - started working out about a year ago and have kept it up.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck.”

75 but in reasonable shape apart from a couple of issues. Feel like I'll live forever but somehow I've lost contact with my world... cannot fathom this one anymore.

Big 50 last April. Best thing that come with getting older, for me, patience, a ton more patience. More appreciative of things, people, their views and the world in general, ability to write bad people off and walk away without them living in my head rent free.

So not a single member yet who is under the age of 30. I can't say that surprises me though.

Just look when most of joined....all in the early years of the 2000 decade. I was actually a member earlier than that but was rebooted. When we were all young the internet and computers were just getting going. Jeez I remember the first Burroughs 1100 desk PCs and my firm had an IBM 360 in Africa, one of the first. The point is it was all a new thing back then, now it's just another medium. Also the gamers themselves are not like we were. We were generally all war-gamers from the old SPI and Avalon Hill hex games or Flight simmerrs.

Now it's all shootemups. Not that there's anything wrong with shootemups. biggrin

We're in a new world now, and it's not a good one in many ways. Just saying....

From what I have witnessed viewing here on your modelmaking skill, precision and expertise, I wager patience is not much of an issue you have to contend with! smile
I envy you...I'm more of the "oh bollocks, that'll do.....no-one will see that bit anyway" school of craftsmanship.

I am a curmudgeonly old Scrote of some 70 summers. Healthy apart from old jumping, riding accident and sports injuries coming back to haunt me in these twilight years.

Ageing summed up by Douglas Adams:

1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.

Might need to change the numbers a bit but I think he was spot on.

"Youth is the most precious thing in life; it is too bad it has to be wasted on young folks." George Bernard Shaw

This has been shortened over the years to simply: It's too bad that youth is wasted on the young!

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet.
I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.
