Hi Guys, me again.

Having gotten the game running (ver 1.16.1) thanks to Thealx, I thought I'd try the Exporting MFDs and UDPSpeed dash to my 2nd monitor.

It was remarkibly simple to get the MFDs displaying and after a bit of tinkering with sizes in the EECH.INI file got the pictures to line up in the dash of the UDPSpeed.

I cannot however get the indicators to work.

I did the following:

Edited UDPSpeed.ini and entered my machine's IP address (192.168.2.131) and left the port at 10000.
Made a desktop shortcut to EECHCommUDPServer.exe with the extension of 10000.

Ran the UDPSpeed program.
Ran EECH (in windowed mode) and waited until the menu appeared.
Did Alt+Tab and ran the shortcut for EECHCommUDPServer (it says it's listening on port 10000.
Alt+Tab back to EECH menu screen and continue in to the game.
MFDs work fine, but none of the indicators work.

Does anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong ?

Cheers,

Andy

PS Just tried it with IP Address set to loopback (172.0.0.1) but same result.

Hi,
I have now tried installing the UDPSpeed dashboard on my laptop.

I edited the UDPSpeed.ini file and changed the IP to my machine's and the port to 21100 (same as EECHCommServer on my PC).
Ran the UDPSpeed dashboard on the laptop - worked (so far, so good).
Started EECH on my PC and ctrl+tab at first menu back to desktop.
Started EECHCommServer with port number 221100.
Back to EECH and in to game.

Game works fine, but no indicators working on the laptop.

When I checked the log file for UDPSpeed it was full of lines of "27/09/2020 16:07:42 Error in data" This is repeated 9 times a second.

Is it possible that something in the EECHCommServer has been broken during the last updates ? I definately remember having this working with earlier versions ( think it was 1.15.2).

Anybody any ideas ?

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Guys,

Had my right hip joint replaced a week ago and am bored out of my skull.

Can someone give me the address in memory where the exported data is dumped ? I'd like to investigate why the indicators don't work.

I set this stuff up in my cockpit with SIOC (which is different) and could monitor the data with it.

I don't NEED the UDPSpeed stuff working, but it would give me something to do at the moment. And, it may be of use to somebody in the future.

Cheers,

Andy
