Fantastic shots again.

I got this in a recent Steam sale for a couple of pounds so this is the next "hunt down the mods and upgrade" project.

It looks and plays pretty good in the out of the box version so I have high hopes.

There's few if any mods for SABOW, not being as mod-able as SF '42 sadly, by all accounts.

SABOW did get a big revamp from Graviteam in2015, which upgraded the engine to GT:OS standards and added extra missions including 'instant action' training sessions and pre-set combats, plus a quick mission builder ('battle editor'), enabling players to get into the tank simming without having to learn much of the wargame 'outer shell'. Hopefully the Steam version has all of that incorporated. Which it should, if the main menu includes those extra options.

There's also a Basra DLC which included an extended or extra map (with a lot of water, some bridging features and a usable drone/UAV, IIRC)

Slippery_Rat has posted some helpful guides in the Armor Sims forum here at Sim HQ - the 'tanksim within a wargame' approach means there's more to learn than usual, at least if you want to get on the (dynamic) SABOW campaign - it's quite different from Steel Fury whose campaigns are sequences of scripted missions (with some inbuilt variability), but will be familiar if you've played the excellent Graviteam Tactics wargames.
