Hello all,

I've been taking advantage, as always, of RAF_Louvert's truly excellent maps for my current campaign (I've gone so far as to disable the keybinding for the in-game map, in fact), and I've stumbled on what might be some missing information in December of 1916. Specifically, Lagnicourt aerodrome doesn't appear on any of the Flanders set I've looked at. I have a rather pressing need to find the place, as an Albatros flown from there (according to the squadron Intell room, at least) was quite rude to me on my last flight, and I intend to repay the slight at my earliest opportunity. Based on the map in the "Intell Room" menu, it appears to be somewhere between Bapaume and Cambrai, but is this an error on the map, or in the campaign manager? Is it possible that through installing another mod I've somehow caused an aerodrome to exist in the menus that does not exist in the game? I've tried launching the game with all of my mods disabled, but haven't gone to the lengths of a full re-install yet. Thanks very much to anyone who can enlighten me.

If you can select it in the manager then it exists in the sim at least. Hopefully Lou can shed some more light.

I recall that when flying for 3 Squadron (Moranes) in the summer of 1916 during the current DiD campaign, we were often ordered to attack Lagnicourt. It is definitely in the game but not on Lou's maps. You may have to do turn on labels and select "identity" to find it at first.

Mortuus, it is entirely possible that I missed placing that aerodrome on my maps when I created them way back when and you are simply the first person to notice, or the first to at least make mention of the omission. Pencil it in and look at it as just another aspect of a changing battle front - fog of war and all that. See how realistic it all is! biggrin

Cheers!

Lou

Ah, no worries. Such is war! I've managed to place it roughly between Riencourt and Pronville, both of which are marked on the map, so it's more-or-less there. Thanks very much for the frankly absurd amount of work that must have gone into these excellent maps!
