Trying to install EE from an original install cd and get the error "Error extracting Support Files Class not Registered" Is this something I can fix or should I just head over to GOG and get a new copy,,Thanks..BTW it's Win 7 64

Had a quick look on the net and someone actually suggested running the command line in admin mode and typing sfc /scannow

To be honest it does not cost anything apart from time so give it a go. I have seen some wild #%&*$# going sideways and this fixed the issue (after at its Microsoft so everything is possible). Let me know if that actually did anything. Those solutions sometimes work for like 1000s of people or they dont work at all

Switching to GOG version probably will be easiest solution.

Thanks thealx had issues in the past with other things and did that..I've got the origional cd and it might be a bit dated
