Soon would'nt be the word. I'm pretty shure it will still be a long time before we see a crewable soviet vehicle. They simply don't have the time and resources.
I mentioned this thread to one in the know, and he laughed.
Which sucks lol.

ESim's resources are just about totally geared to serving those military customers since they generate vastly more income than private customers. The military customers don't want a crewable T-72. Therefore the crewable T-72 is way down the list of priorities.
Ssnake has stated ESim's intentions and business plan (including an explanation of the pricing of the product) quite openly on this and other forums. I suggest you do a search for his posts. I agree with this statement, which is why I'm waiting for the Stryker. Gus

Actually, I'd take a crewable M1A2 over a crewable T-72, but that's just me. (Actually, if Russian tanks were/are to be included as crewable vehicles, why not go with the T-80?)

There is more historical material and more real world situations to draw upon with T-72s rather than T-80U; to be sure, this is also true with T-55 and T-62 and licensed clones of these tanks.
For my taste, T-72s and older tanks offer interesting challenges and give me warm fuzzies. As far as the M1A2 goes- meh. You've already got the powerful integrated map system common to all units, and the hunter killer function of the Leopard.
