I live in a suburb of one of the big city areas based on "special" photographic terrain and building data. Most things look real (there are some glitches).

On Ultra 4K settings: I flew to a major amusement park 43 miles away (not covered by the special data). In real life, it has multiple large "roller coaster" type rides and loads of other amusement park stuff. In-game the park area was depicted as a weird mess of buildings and things -- some siting in water, some on undefined terrain. Not one roller coaster looking object. You would have no idea it was an amusement park from the sky (except for the gigantic parking lot area). That was the worst area depiction so far -- usually things look quite good (with glitches when flying low).

You are welcome,

it`s more for GA aircraft though. I`m curious if my assets are still there, I "owned" a few small a/c in FSE.

So, finally managed to do the first flights in FSEconomy, worked like a charm (minus I forgot to load the PAX on the first flight banghead ). Bought a Cessna 172. I still don`t know if all FS2020 a/c are supported though.

Nearly all MSFS aircraft are supported in FSE. The only exception is the Dreamliner, but you can not buy medium/large range tubeliners anyway.

MSFS Model -> FSE Model

Boeing 747-8i -> Boeing 747-400

Beech Bonanza G36 -> Beech Bonanza A36
Beech Baron G58 -> Beech Baron 58
Cessna Citation CJ4 and Longitude -> Cessna Citation X
Extra 330 -> Vans RV-7/7A
Flight Design CTLS -> Piper PA-38 Tomahawk
Icon A5 -> American Champion Scout
JMB VL-3 -> Liberty XL2
Pipistrel Virus -> Cessna C162 Skycatcher
Zlin Shock Ultra -> Piper PA-18 Super Cub

The others are pretty obvious.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the likes of the Twin Otter and Beaver making their way back to the new sim. I haven't flown anything in FSE for a good while,
I did buy a zero hour Beaver the other day, it'll sit in my hanger under a tarp until a new model is released.

I might pick up a 172 to tootle about in around the UK.

I'm itching to fly helicopters again, the jet fighters in FSX were for me at least a novelty, something to jump into to see a particular area a bit faster. DCS is there for fighters.

Most anticipated future update is VR access, it can't come soon enough and will have me hooked (index user).

Just today Carenado released a Mooney. No reviews yet, but it's only available through the in-game store.

Kindest regards,

THX Roudou, much appreciated!

My marketplace is greyed out for some time now, don`t know why, I have the steam-version.

@ Vapour: I think I`ve seen a YT video where was told someone is working on a Twin Otter.

One of my disappointments is that wake turbulence and water physics are not modelled. Flight Unlimited did that over 20 years ago.

On the bright side, it looks like the modding community is embracing this new title, I even found a mod that adds the cathedral to my hometown :-)

Sceneries and aircraft liveries I get at flightsim.to
In the days of FSX and before I used to get all my stuff from Avsim, but that place seems empty now. I do check the forums there to find the latest updates on aircraft mods (there is some excellent work being done on the A320 and the CJ4).

Favorite mod so far: the Toolbar Handle Removal Mod which makes the toolbar on top of the screen less intrusive (https://github.com/kaosfere/msfs-toolbar-nohandle)

Seems that the latest update also messes up autogen buildings, unfortunately. I'm seeing highrises in places where they should not be, and they were definitely not there before the update.
Also, using live weather I am getting ligntning and thunder when there should be just overcast weather. And I get the feeling that anti-aliasing quality is reduced (but I'm not 100% sure yet).

After patching, make sure you go to Content Manager and update the Japan-Procedural Buildings and Points of Interest packages. This is needed for the autogen buildings fix to work.

I'm still seeing thunderstorms whenever I use Live Weather. Hope that gets corrected soon.
