It's literally on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sino-Indian_border_dispute

The TL;DR version: The area connects Tibet and Xinjiang, just like the Danzig corridor connected Eastern Prussia with the rest of Germany

Except its not that simple. East Prussia was completely disconnected from the rest of Germany. Tibet and Xinjiang are continguous.

The word "Martyr" is just a fancy name for "crappy fighter".

So they are fighting over the SOS, which had happened too many times in human history resulting in unneeded wars and deaths.

No, China has tried to take territory that has been considered Indian since the last border war they had in the '60s.They also have on-going border disputes with over TWENTY countries. China is pushing to see who will push back. Let's hope somebody doesn't miscalculate. Dictator Ping is apparently losing favor with the Chinese Communist Party over the virus situation and the resulting economic collapse and is trying to divert their attention with these other issues. He also started seizing private property last week; something that hasn't been done since the Cultural Revolution. China is a time-bomb just waiting to go off.

If you want to hear news that you will never hear over our news stations, give that link a look. I've been watching them, along with a couple of other foreign news channels for several months. It's amazing what doesn't get reported in our country.

Thanks vocatx.

Always looking for alternative news sources and viewpoints. I do draw the line at Huff Post, Al Jazeera and most major "news" networks though. yep

edit: And Tricky Dick's "welcome China initiative" is gonna make Watergate look like an itty bitty whoops, and completely irrelevant to his legacy.

Never did like Henry K either.... China will be Nixon's and Kissinger's legacy.

Nixer: I look at Al Jazeera now and then.......as long as you remember that their coverage is "slanted" in a similar fashion as MSNBC ...you can get some info now and then

RT News is another doozy. I tried watching one of their tv broadcasts once and after about 30 minutes it was quite apparent to me that it was simply a Putin mouthpiece.
