Stewart is one of the greatest actors of all time. What a heck of a man.

Yeah, that's it. It got me again.

I went over to YT to watch it and for the first time I noticed the following comment. No way to authenticate it of course but based on what I do know of Jimmy Stewart it is believable:

"I used to deliver groceries to the Stewart house 6 days a week back when and I'm the guy who Mr. Stewart writes about being Beau's favorite prey.

We used to use a platform cart we would put the boxes on and Beau hated it. He bit me twice in a couple of years and the second time he really got me. One of Mr. Stewart's housekeepers looked at the back of my pants leg and there was blood all down the back of it. Nothing serious but it hurt like hell.

Anyway a couple of days later when I made my delivery the housekeeper said Mr. Stewart wanted to see me. He walked into the kitchen and asked how I was and apologized for Beau. Needless to say there was a pretty big Christmas tip that year. Beau passed on about a year later and Mr. Stewart wrote the poem he read.

Only met him a couple of times passing through the kitchen but he always stopped and shook my hand and asked how I was, a genuine, humble, class guy."

Thanks for the post F4..He was indeed a good and humble man..One quote I remember was him addressing a flight and said "You all know what kind of actor I am and hope you all get to see what kind of pilot I am"" a Pilot stood up and said "Just having you here Sir makes me feel better"

I finished the series "Ray Donovan" last night. What a bittersweet show. The first season was okay, nothing special, but then after they introduced Mick, the criminal father, and things picked up until season 5, which was a downer and the worst season. The bittersweet part, however, is season 6 and 7 were fantastic, several orders better than the rest of the show, only to end... abruptly, due to Showtime apparently cancelling the show! Needless to say I am a bit bummed out and miffed they would do this, given the sudden transformation that occurred in season 6 regarding quality.

"Donovan" was not a perfect show, it had it's moments, good and bad, and at times they used lazy literary devices to move the plot along or get out of jams, but there was definitely a degree of creativity at times on the criminal side of things that helped it shine. I wouldn't go so far to call the show a rough diamond, because frankly the characters were for the most part despicable pieces of filth, often riddled with past or current flaws and problems that got in their way of being good people. But the actors chosen added personality to each and every one of them, Ray, the lead role, and Mick, the aforementioned father. Often times the characters did the wrong thing before they sort of made things right, however often right would be made so through a wrong, which is kind of contradictory, but like real people, never could be expected to be perfect. I guess, in that regard, the show gave us something unique, for there was very little sign of virtue signalling or social justice throughout, despite being a Showtime show, minus a couple situations here or there that I think were thrown in to appease channel executives. Ray was in many ways a lot like my own Dad, minus the philandering and killing.

3 stars out of 4. Not the best show I have seen, but not the worst, either. Had season 8 happened, who knows? Maybe that might have boosted it to 3.25. If you want to see dirtbags with real problems do wrong and sometimes right, but seem more human than a lot of the other cardboard out there, this might be the show for you. I'm not upset I watched it, but I'm sad that Showtime did not give it a proper end. Liev Shreiber did announce that there will at least be a film to close things out, so we'll have to see if it comes to fruition.

Now I have to figure out what to watch next...

I watch one show a night, so a series can take me two to five months to watch. I'll probably watch a few more episodes of "The Boys" for now until I decide what is next. I hate superheroes, but one of the gals is pretty so that helps.

Have you seen "The Mandalorian"? It's not deep cerebral and edgy stuff like "Altered Carbon" but it's Star Wars done right in my opinion.

Watching Vertigo. The guy is a stalker and obsessive compulsive over a dead woman. The pace is so slow. There is nothing thrilling about the film. More than the first half is he following the woman around and then hanging around with her. All she needed was some XANAX or VALIUM or ADERALL, Talk about crazy BIPOLAR woman! I can see how this movie didn't do well at the box office and the critics hated it. Some critics have now call it one of the best film ever. Why?

I'm re-watching "The Death of Stalin" on Netflix, its simultaneously amazingly funny and horrifying all at the same time.

Needless to say, it should have won every oscar and is one of my favorite movies.

The word "Martyr" is just a fancy name for "crappy fighter".

My first time watching about year ago, thought it was different to add comedy to it. But I liked it.
