Feb 20th Patrolled off Heartlepool Fired 2 torpedo's at a Destroyer missed due to Zig Zag. layed on the bottom till night fall. Fuel status 50 %

Feb 23th spotted a coastal freighter fired remaining Torpedo s 1 Missed 1 ran wild and 1 hit Ship. The Vessel is on fire at AN57 speed slow heading SW

You've got me doing it now too! Just installed the Steam version of SH3 which was under a fiver and saves the trouble of getting my original CD working. Worth it; now with the widescreen mod enabled, I just need to rediscover how everything works.

Great going 33 Lima. Its a fun game. I am going to play thru till I loose my sub anyway. Then do Mods from Subsim. maybe only 1 at a time. If we can relearn the game play, Subsim does have a or did have a complete Role play of being a Sea Wolf Skipper. I think its named after the German Sub Admiral Would love to be able to get pics without the borders. Have fun and Post Ur adventures.

Will do Carrick and thanks for reminding me of another fun sim I hadn't installed for ages. One thing I did just re-learn was how to turn off the interface for a clearer view and a better screenshot, albeit I need to brush up on my U-Boat German as I much prefer the original language. But a tap of Numpad Del will bring the gauges back up in an instant.

I have a funny feeling the Steam version has some extras included, like the wood-framed stopwatch in my own pics which I don't recall in the original version. And I seem to recall that short of finding a mod, you could not lose the deck gun which was ditched by about 1943; but now, in single missions, I can select a wide range of different boats at different years, and for example get this late-war Type VIIC.
